Beautiful but....

I absolutely love this lamp and would recommend to anyone but the inside of mine is yellow not tan. Kinda bothers me because tan would of went so much better with my decor. Also if you have small children, I'd pass on this one. When my kids were little it would not of survived a day.

Impressive and Beautiful Lamp

I intended to order the two-light floor lamp version of this lamp. I recently rearranged my living room and I didn't realize how moving my current lamp would drastically change the brightness in a particular corner. I have sufficient lighting in my living room for sure. However, I wanted light back in the corner where my previous table lamp was that was placed on the top rung of a folding bookshelf. The two light version was going to be perfect to add nice lighting from the floor up. Regardless, I could not be happier with this lamp. It is beautiful. Very easy to assemble, but I'm going to give a helpful hint that I did not see in any other reviews... Once the lamp was assembled, I had the hardest time getting the light bulb in! The lamp is tall, and the light bulb socket is directly in the middle of the shade, so trying to install the bulb from above or below was giving me fits. I'm 5'7" and still had difficulty. Finally, I grabbed my 2-step ladder. Standing on it put me just enough above the shade that I could reach down and put in the light bulb. So, if you order this lamp and are under 6' tall, have something that you can stand on safely to put in the bulb. At some point I will purchase the two-light version. Adesso is a great brand. I'm typing this review from my desk which also has 2 Adesso tripod lamps on either side of it. I am an Adesso fan.

Unique design and low cost

The lamp is a very low cost stick like floor lamp the shade is what sets it apart. It assembled very easily and is straight. I have them on Alexa plugs so I can use voice to turn them on. My only complaint is that they are much more of a yellow than a beige. I needed a thin profile and these fit the size I needed and I appreciate the unique design.

This lamp is certainly unique. Mine has no flaws and gives me no reason to complain. It's actually well constructed. I do disagree with those who have stated it can not be used for reading - going so far as to answer others questions by saying so. With a standard 60 watt bulb, the lamp fills living room with light. Reading would be difficult if one is hiding in a corner but is easy when sitting close by. The caveat is not the brightness but the color temp - much warmer (yellow) than typical for reading. I personally find 60 watts to be far too bright and will be seeking an option to turn lamp into dim ambient piece rather than overly bright beacon.

Very happy with this floor lamp

The picture doesn't do it justice from that angle, and during daylight, but the ambience it provides after dark is exactly the look I was going for with my only other option being very harsh overhead lighting. I'm very happy with this purchase!

I enjoy that the Adesso style comes with a variety like this. It would be odd to have 3 of the same exact lamps in my space and this can be stuck in a corner without making it busier than all the tables and stuff there already are. If I were blind and needed to touch the lamp all the time I'd be upset at the quality, but since I have the faculty of sight, the clever design screams moderately high price and I am tricked into feeling like I scored a fancy look for my lighting needs.

Warm

I like this lamp - but be aware it's going to cause the output from the sides to look very orange. It seems most of the light that's supposed to illuminate the room comes from the top. That doesn't do a lot of good in my application, but in a room with a ceiling it'll help a lot. In terms of light output it's a bit weak where I'm at, but I suspect much of the light is getting soaked up by the open, dark ceiling above. The switch works well, and the cable is a reasonable length. The packaging prevented the light from getting damaged, but it's also some of the worst packaging I've ever encountered. It just doesn't seem like there was much of a strategy to it. It's an odd mix of styrofoam, plastic bags, and bubble wrap.
