It can wobble from side to side.
It's a really nice grow light, well built, 'except' the darn engineer who designed the supports must have never intended to use it. What it needs is a horizontal cross brace(s) on the legs to keep it from wobbling. I think what would work are some flat brace connectors running from one support to the other and along the sides, located at the bottom flush with the countertop. What I intend to do is make a flat wooden base that will support the outside of the sides of the supports. It won't take much to fabricate one, heck, a right-sized cutting board with raised handles would work, but still, it's hard to imagine how this got past quality control. Also, the detents for the angle of the light fixture should be tighter. All-in-all, I would recommend this and would buy again. Hopefully, by then, they've resolved both issues (and maybe send me the updated stands, too!!)

A great seed starter!
I missed the Fall seeding perennial wildflowers and decided to start them indoors and plant when the soil is the right temp. I created an 18-pot holding stand from a vinyl lattice. I soaked Jiffy peat pots in worm tea and then seeded the pots. I have the light on an 18-hour cycle. All pots have emerging plants, and I am so happy with this unit. The stand sides are not flimsy but adequate for the configuration. I would not want to pay for a switch; mine is hooked up to a timer at the plug. It works for me. Simple is better; the switch could short out. I did double-face tape a $1 bubble level to keep it completely level. I like the fact that I can adjust the tilt should I need to.

Great grow light
I like that the height is adjustable as my plants grow before I can plant outside and it fits perfectly over my 10 x 20 trays. Well built and good quality.

It’s good… but it could be better
The good: - The light assembled super quick - it’s just a matter of snapping on the legs. - When it’s set up on a stable surface, it’s steady and doesn’t seem like it will collapse. - It’s so easy to use - just plug it in and it turns on. - The legs adjust really easily so it can raise and lower as needed. The bad: - I don’t love that it doesn’t have an on switch. Sometimes it’s awkward to plug and unplug it every day! - The legs are floppy when you pick it up. They swing on their own and even come off. So my solution was to get a smart plug and put the lights on a timer using that. Still not ideal, but it works. My plants seem to love the light and it looks nicer than any strip light I’ve found. I would probably buy again, but I do wish it had a switch or even a timer.

Plants love it
Fits nicely on the counter. Using it for my micro greens. Plants love this.

Works well
My only criticism of this light is that it is very unstable. Once you get it in position it works very well, but with every adjustment of height it seems to be less sturdy.

Good grow lights that are versatile in ways to use them.
So far, I have 5 of these grow light panels that I hung on my growing shelves and in a small greenhouse, so I don't use the provided stand. I grow a number of veggies and herbs indoors, and have found these lights work well for greens as well as flowering plants such as tomatoes. I use these panels on my grow shelves in addition to larger fixtures with LED tubes using chains and "S" hooks to hang them. These lights do come with a stand so they may be used on a countertop as well. For initial growth from seed, these units work very well. I have been using one of these units over dwarf bush tomato plants, and the plants are doing very well in both vegetative growth and production of tomatoes. In conclusion, I would recommend these lights over most LED lighting because they cover a larger area than most, but the lighting requirements of the plants you are growing must be considered,. Most green veggies require lighting at 6500 K. Since I haven't been able to find the Kelvin rating for these fixtures, I can't attest to the temperature of this lighting, but it is a white light that looks like daylight. The LED lights in this fixture are primarily white, but also contain red and blue lights arranged in squares. Considering the proportions of white vs. red/blue LED's in this light, it provides full spectrum lights. I checked the brightness of the light with a meter, and this lighting register over 1500 lumens about 4 inches from the fixture. Although there is no off/on switch, you can easily connect them to a timer. Overall, these LED grow lights offer more coverage than most LED grow lights, and the quality and brightness of the lighting is excellent. I have included a picture of one of my shelving units that has two of these fixtures. I am also using 3 more of these fixtures (1 per shelf) in a small greenhouse where I grow micro greens and watercress. The miniature tomato plants have been producing more tomatoes than we can eat without having salads every day. I have tried quite a few other LED grow lights, and, so far, have not seen the growth and development that I have seen with these fixtures. They are incredible compared to other lighting I have tried. I hope this review was helpful for you. I will update this review if my opinion changes.

45w true draw, good for veg
I'm very surprised by these lights. They draw 45 true watts from the wall and produce almost no heat. We are talking less heat than anything else and they can actually veg tomatoes. Both kinds of tomatoes... I had two of these panels for regular tomatoes and was using Advanced Platinum P300s and Cree Cxb3590 cob for special tomatoes. When I decided to upgrade to several HLG 100 v2 QBs one of my only two special tomato plants burned and bad. I relocated the injured special tomato under two of these panels and not only did it recover but, very much to my surprise, it thrived. Tight internodal spacing on the new growth of the injured tomato. Looks like this panel is 4000K or even more blue... so, again, you can definitely use it for veg. I checked it for UVB and UVA and it emits none... even less than a standard Mercury Vapour CFL, so yeah. I dis note expect these panels to be so versatile but they absolutely can be used as main veg lights with sufficient proximity.

Lasts far less than advertised
I purchased this light and really had no issues with it for a year but then noticed some flickering and then eventually it would no longer come on. I went back to the description and there was no clear warranty information but having dealt with many CFLs and LEDs in the past, I expected that the warranty period would be close to the advertised life span of the bulb as those normal household ones honored. In this case it states the bulb should last 8.5 yrs at 16 hrs per day, comparing it to the 1.7 yr CFL and apparent 2 month lifespan of an incandescent. Well, even if I ran it 24/7, I should have gotten 5.5 yrs out of it, not 1.5 (incidentally less than the 1.7 CFL they compared it to). I should note that I have also purchased a number of off-brand LED grow lights that appear to work just as well and were less costly. I am disappointed with Aerogarden replying to me that their warranty is 1 yr only, especially when they claim it should last over 8 yrs. Curious to know if I just got a dud or if many others have their bulbs tank after 1 or 2 years and then don't bother to ask for replacements. Poor customer service in my opinion when they cannot stand behind their product.

Great first impression. Will try to update soon.
Shipping was quick 3 days 36 hours. When I arrived home from work, excited to open this product I got down to work. Currently own an Aerogarden Elite and dabbling in DWC Hydroponics. I DIY'ed some bins using the Aerogarden pods and sponges with my own seeds. The first batch put together in a couple of hours. Arugula, Romaine lettuce, Kale and Cilantro. I put this light on a timer swtich for 17 hours a day. In two days the kale has a sprout started. Still waiting on the other seeds. I have a total of 18 pods under this light 3 bins with 6 each. As well as two half grown lettuce's beside (not directly under the light) as well as 6 other older plants that i took out of the aerogarden elite so i could start some new guys. Anyways I'm happy with the product so far. It comes with legs and a hanging hook. I may buy a second one in about 8 months if this one works well. I'll try to remember to update closer to Fall 2018. PS the product was packed well and easy to assemble., *Update* I've had it about a week now. Plants are doing well. Should mention that I also bought the 45watt neillo light. I think the plants like that one better than this one. The Kale did for sure. Feel free to read my other review of that one. Anyways this one has been good nice and wide covers two of my seed starters. Plants are now 1 1/4" tall. Mix of greens. * Update. Dec 2018. Still going strong. Great light works best if with in 10-12" of the product you're growing. I'm using it for DWC butckers lettuce, arugula, kale etc. Works great. I have since bought two other lights other brands for 40-80$. Honestly they work just as well. But still very happy with this product.

LOVE LOVE LOVE these panels!! Well worth the purchase!
I have been using these to keep my garden going indoors through the winter. They have been working wonderfully for seedling starting as well as general growth. All my plants love them. Plants both directly below them and those on the outskirts of the lighting area benefit. They also put off a nice amount of heat the plants love. Creates nice warm seedling trays. Do bear in mind the light is VERY bright, you do not want to stare directly at it. I use them mostly during daylight hours which I am at work & so the shock walking past them isn't so blinding. They work well to supplement the natural daylight. I have had them on overnight but I feel bad for my dogs trying to sleep in the kitchen with them on. I no longer leave any house lights on when I am not home - these light up the house quite well and can be easily seen from the rd (I have a 1km rural driveway)

price increases are ridiculous - it's not worth the high cost
I've literally seen the price increase by 100 dollars over just a couple of days; this product is not worth more than a hundred dollars yet its current price is well over two hundred. the light is a great size and provides lost of light but the stand is pretty flimsy and needs to be more secure. Hopefully, it goes back down in price and is more reasonable to buy as I was wanting to buy another one, but not at the current price. *Plug gets very hot - not sure why, but it's of concern.
