Good but can be better

I am a very big puzzle guy, the problem with this puzzle is that you can tell if the right piece fits or not, very frustrating. Other than that the quality is good

Quite a few warped pieces, and a few that seemed to fit but didn’t, but the puzzle is enjoyable.

Genuine Fred, A Busy Day at Chez Poulet, Doodle Series, 1,000-piece puzzle We haven’t finished the puzzle yet, but are enjoying this one (the doodles make it fun and a little bit easier) even though a good twenty pieces are warped (see photo for examples). The colors and lines/writing are clear and vibrant, but we have encountered a few pieces that seem like they fit but end up belonging elsewhere. So, this one isn’t the highest quality but we’re still having fun with it. The back of the puzzle is plain. The box was wrapped in plastic and the pieces were in a resealable bag. There is a nice photo insert (larger than the box) of the completed puzzle. Printed with soy-based inks. Made from 90% recycled materials. Made in China.

bit of doodles

this is such a cute puzzle. i love the doodles on it. so different and adds a bit of fun to puzzling. i'm going to frame this one because its so fun.

Fun puzzle!

This puzzle comes in a very sturdy box and a resealable bag, which is great, since this is a puzzle that will be fun to do again or to pass on to friends. There was virtually no puzzle dust and the pieces are sturdy. I've never assembled a puzzle with doodles before and it's been fun to do. The only complaint I have is that it is possible to occasionally put the wrong pieces together.

I am SO excited about this puzzle!

My family and I always have a puzzle in the works somewhere. We especially love the most difficult puzzles and the unique puzzles. This puzzle might not be difficult, but it is unique. And we also prefer 1,000 piece puzzles - like this one. Like most things from Genuine Fred, this puzzle is very high quality. Everything from the box to the printed puzzle sheet, to the puzzle pieces - all very nice. The pieces are a perfect size (about 1-inch) and are a nice thick material. Nothing flimsy here. The puzzle was sealed in a bag, and while I have not counted all the pieces, I am sure they are all there. We have not assembled this puzzle yet, as we are planning on bringing it to our lake cabin to work on there. Well... okay. I MIGHT have put a few pieces together ahead of time. Ssh! Don't tell my family. They always try to get to the edge pieces before I do. ;-) The pieces I assembled fit together well. I like that there is a variety of different puzzle shapes - as some puzzles either have all the same shape/cut and that isn't quite as fun (at least for most puzzles). I like that this puzzle comes with a printed sheet of what the puzzle looks like. That always helps when assembling. The colors are bright and vibrant and the image is perfect for our lake cabin. My Dad was always doodling something, and the doodles on this puzzle look a lot like his work. That makes this puzzle even more fun for me. One thing I noticed right away is that the finish on the puzzle pieces is sort of a matte finish. This is going to be great for setting the puzzle under the dining room lights as the matte finish will reduce the glare that many puzzles have. This puzzle is a great addition to the puzzles we keep at the cabin for those rainy days. Even the name of this puzzle is fun. I really look forward to setting this one with my family!

Unique puzzle from an awesome brand

I love Genuine Fred and I have a lot of random and unique products from them. I also love jigsaw puzzles so this was exciting to see. The design is really unique with a real life photo overlaid with squiggles and drawn on people. I will say it makes it a little easier to “cheat” by looking to see where each piece goes but I like puzzles like this or puzzles with a lot of color that make it easier. The box is also a good guide as well as the paper that’s included with the photo on it. I like that you get two guides so if you’re doing the puzzle with another person you can both have a reference. The pieces are nice quality but we did have a couple pieces that we had put together but then realized a little bit later that maybe they didn’t actually go together. There was also no puzzle dust which made me happy because puzzle dust drives me nuts. This is a puzzle that I’m contemplating if I want to glue it together and frame or not just because it’s so cool and fits with my house vibe.

For those that love puzzles

I ordered this, as I love puzzles with 1000+ pieces that have a lot of the same color, making more difficult. While this puzzle isn't extremely difficult, it is a lot of fun to put together. The pieces are a great size for any age and the colors are vibrant enough to see well. The cuts are clean so that the pieces fit nicely into one another, which is always something you look for if you work on puzzles often. Overall, a very nice puzzle for the price.

One thing you will notice about this puzzle is that you won't be able to tell if some the pieces are fitting correctly or not, but that just adds to the fun challenge. The pieces are well printed and are cut well with no peeling. It is a somewhat challenging so be ready to spend some time on this large puzzle.
