Incredibly comfortable & good quality!

Exactly what I was looking for! Incredibly comfortable, high quality leggings. If you are looking for leggings that don’t pressure your body and fit like a glove, this is it.

Bigger than I thought….

I’m going to give a thorough review to help out other buyers. I purchased a Medium. First, my measurements are as follows: I am 5feet tall & 148pounds. My waist is 28 inches around. My hips are 41 inches. I have a big bum and these did accommodate it, however they are a bit sheer. These are best worn at home or with a long top. I will say that the top is quite long and can be folded over as it almost hits the bottom of my bra if I don’t fold it down. Super high-waisted pants. They are long on me but I am only 5feet. If you are short maybe see if they have ankle pants or capris.

Too baggy

Not a good purchase. They get so baggy that it looks like they're 20 years old. Very thick material with no hold. Also the leggings go up to my chest, they're super long, but that's not necessarily a flaw, just something to keep in mind if you are short. These are my least favorite leggings

Needs wider ankle holes

These yoga pants are high waisted that you can fold down or leave up. I use to buy these yoga pants all the time from American Apparel directly. I prefer the boot cut over these because I like my ankles free. These yoga pants also are not the same quality of fabric as the old American Apparel that were super thick. They are a decent sleep pants or yoga ????‍♀️ and are not see through. Overall I would buy them again. I just wish they were boot cut. ????

American Apparel leggings - pleasantly surprised

Never feel entirely comfy ordering clothes on Amazon but in this case, I had to as local stores do not seem to have high-waisted cotton leggings that are not "skinny" or "capri" styles. Not see-thru as some reviews have suggested. I bought the gray and black styles. Long enough inseam where my ankles do not show which is great. They are ridiculously high-waisted but the photos show that so it was not surprise. They actually touch the bottom of my bra but whatever, i have long shirts and do not wear short tops with them. A good price at around $20 and have survived several washes where family has put it on hot dryer settings and have not shrunk. I did order 1 size up though on purpose and of course they are a little loose but that is how I like my clothes.

True to size and best quality.

I'm not sure why some people complain about the leggings being too high waisted. Maybe because I'm an hour glass so this flatters people more with that shape. I'm an XS, and it fits true to size and has a nice thickness to the fabric so it's not see through. But if you have a more extreme hour glass, maybe go up a size. I have these for over two years now, and they are still holding up. I like them so much that I got 5 pairs!

Good basic cotton leggings.

This is my second pair. I bought a grey pair in a size medium first. The medium fit, but are a bit too large around the legs, especially the thighs, for me. The size small are a perfect fit. I had been worried, as I've heard AA quality has gone down since being bought out by Gildan. However these are excellent quality. They're thick (not like sweatshirt material, just good quality cotton), hold their shape well when being worn, and are washing and drying great. I really like the high waist, they stay put, a necessity for me chasing two kids. For reference I always wear a size small. I'm currently 130lbs five months post partum - my average weight is around 120lbs and I have a petite build. These in a small fit great now, and will fit when my body eventually goes back to it's usual weight. I like the blue and the grey colour nice neutrals. They're also not see through when you bend. Overall, I'm happy with them. Just wish I could find them in black! It's hard to find good quality cotton leggings now. I get rashes or itchy skin from synthetics, so cotton and other natural fibres are preferred. I'll probably grab another pair of these just to keep for whenever my current pairs wear out.

Perfect for a wheelchair user

I bought these leggings a few years ago directly from American Apparel while I was living in the US and was thrilled to find them on Amazon now that I’m back in Canada! I use a wheelchair and often find the waistband on pants to be a little too low - things fit differently when you’re sitting all the time! When I’m wearing these I don’t have to worry about accidentally flashing someone when I lean forward. They’re comfortable and last for a decent amount of time (the ones I had previously are going on 3 years of frequent wear). They’re the perfect leggings for a wheelchair user in my opinion!

A genuine American Apparel pair of leggings.

I think that some reviewers have suggested that these leggings are not like the American Apparel leggings that they have bought in the past, so they're different from what AA sold in their stores. I don't agree: I've actually had over a dozen (yes, really) American Apparel leggings over the years, and the fact is that they've ALWAYS been very variable, even when they were exactly the same style. That being said, I've had several of these exact leggings from them, although I've had many others that were different, so if you are looking for an exact replacement for what you've had before, that's just a matter of chance I'm afraid. What I can say is that they are good quality, a great fit, high waist, neither particularly thin or thick. Personally, AA leggings are my favourite, and I can recommend them.

These fit fine, i got a medium however i wish i got a small. Love the look and feel of them, super comfy.
