Great item, varying costs and shipping, local options

The item itself gets a perfect 5 star rating. I bought 3 of these from a local big box store and was tickled to find that Amazon also sells them. So I bought one first to see if it would ship okay. It did! I'm using it for a terrarium for plants and the plants LOVE it. I tried to buy another one but the shipping was going to take a lot longer, especially if buying more than one. I ended up canceling my second order and getting it through the big box store, especially after observing how much the price and shipping speeds jump around on Amazon for this item. It's about $13 at the big box store and Amazon often matches that. The other store has free fast shipping but only if your order is large enough. Here, the shipping is free but slow, sometimes glacially so. Since I need to time plants carefully, I'd rather drive to the store than wait until the end of spring to get it.

Would purchase again

We purchased these with the intent to set up a Parcells water station. They are sturdy, easy for me lift (compared to others that I've struggled with), and I'm very happy with how the station is working. There are no rubber sealers on the lids, which is perfect for what I needed!

The thick glass of container is awesome

The cheap 2 cent spout is very disappointing. I’m thinking of returning just because of that. Who knows what material that is made of. Very disappointing for the price. They talk about quality but the item that will fail they forgot about

These were a great addition to my laundry room. I am using them to keep my soap pods in so the large container does not have to sit out. They look neat and tidy along side my other glass containers.

Does the job and great capacity

It’s huge! Using it for flour and can get probably 15 lbs in there! Only knock is no seal (it’s glass on glass).

Two Jars with Lid

I am happy to know that there are two jars with lids in this package! I would prefer to have a secure lid rather than the floating closure. The glass is sturdy and will last a long time for storing various food items.

Nice Glass Product

I prefer glass for storing food. I like this container because it is large and it is glass. I purchased it though the Amazon Warehouse, which lowered the cost a bit. I am happy with my purchase.

Holds 10 lbs of flour easily

I love this gigantic jar! I've been making bread for the family for the last 3 years. No GMO's here!!! We are country folks here so making bread is second nature. I just needed a big jar that is big enough to hold at least 10 lbs of flour at a time with a wide mouth to measure and level flour without getting it all over. This is perfect. No need to weigh your flour either if you scoop your flour into your measuring cup and leveling it off. The trick is to use a scoop to loosely pour into your measuring cup. It's not all packed down that way. It's kind of fluffy. Works 100% of the time!!!! I had some stickers left from another product so I used one to write the contents on. You can easily use a sharpie directly on the glass if you want to. If you need to wipe the sharpie off just use a little alcohol on a paper towel. Comes right off. There's not a seal around the jars lid. I'm glad it doesn't. There's no need for it for my purpose. It also reminds me of my momma's old flour jar when I was a kid. When you heard that lid rattle in the kitchen you knew something good was about to be made!! I just love love ???? this jar. The price is incredible!!!

It leaks - but only when you use it.

It arrived intact. Sturdy - the only issue is the tap leaks from the spiget (not from where it is plastic bolted to the jar.)

Almost good ????

2 jars and one lid are ok ,seem sturdy enough for the price, got em to make a small terrarium . Rip the second lid tho, just the way its packed , any pressure on the top will break the lids since there's no foam or anything, just a box inside a box so keep that in mind if ordering.

Product = good. Delivery = BAD

The product is great. I have another one that I bought at a store and it's great. Solid, thick glass. Solid thick glass smashed to pieces. The delivery was the worst I've ever experienced. A glass cookie jar inside a box with no protection, which is then inside another box with no protection. There was no packing material in either box. I'd like to meet the person that ever thought this would survive shipping. The second I picked it up from my porch, all I could hear was broken glass so I'm also not sure how it didn't get identified along the way that this thing was smashed since I touched the box for literally 3 seconds and knew it. Then I processed the return/replacement and Amazon expects me to ship the smashed jar back to them. It's illegal to ship broken glass. So then had to contact Amazon to explain that I wouldn't be returning it but I could share pictures if I they wanted. Thankfully, the chat agent was quick to connect and dealt with the issue in seconds. I'm giving this 4 stars because I believe the scoring should reflect the product, not Amazon's handling of it. The cookie jar itself would benefit from a silicon piece on the lid to seal tight and not have glass against glass. That would have given it 5 stars, but it's a good 4 star as it is.

Beautiful as a decorative item

Its a really beautiful jar, great value for money and arrived well before the promised date which was a bonus. My only observation is that the lid which although sits well does not have suction so it is loose. For me this is not a problem as I am storing non perishable items.

Great for storing bath bombs and bath salts but not food

I bought this when it was ten dollars to store my bath salts and bath bombs. It works great, fits a lot of stuff and looks super nice but definitely not worth 70 bucks. I also would not use it for food as there is no seal around the lid to prevent the food from going stale. Definitely would have bought another one on here if it was not so overpriced instead I bought one at the dollar store that is very similar and better priced.
