Effective Vacuum Device

This works well with a Bell-type jar adapter to vacuum jars for sealed storage. Not for canning per se, but extends storage life of foods refrigerated. You need to press the port to establish initial seal, but with auto shutoff you can simply press to get the seal, then let go while it finishes the job.

Huge, doesn't come with a wall plug.

I want to love this, it's an elegant design... but it is GIGANTIC. It looks like it should fit neatly into the palm of my hand and tuck into a drawer, but it is unnecessarily large. And who includes a USB charger cable without a wall plug!? Like we'll plug it into a laptop to charge? I don't keep one in the kitchen, do you? Bizarre. Seems to work fine, if you finesse it a little bit, but disappointed in the aesthetics and usability. Returning it for the less expensive and much smaller Foodsaver model.

Great product for camping!

I ordered this vacuum sealer to use while we are traveling in our RV. It's a perfect size and the bags take up less room than plastic containers. Tested it on some almonds, see picture, and worked great. I especially like that the bags can be opened and resealed and are washable. I will send an updated review later after we start using it while on the road but for now is packed away.

You need to press the device firmly down on the port

I read the review saying the vacuum sealer didn’t work, which is what I thought also. However, when I pressed the device firmly down on the bag’s vacuum port (round disc thing) it sealed beautifully. Also, you need to completely seal the zip lock sealer at the top of the bag.

Does not work as it should, waste of money

It’s impossible to attach the device to the prepackaged bags in order to get good suction. I thought that this item would be the best thing for very small items but it never once completely suctioned the air out. It’s clumsy to use and that’s why the suction was so poor. And now I can’t return to Amazon because I neglected to see I was over 30 days. What a waste of money! And, I can’t use the bags with my full size Food Saver device.

PRO TIP: seal bag perfectly or this doesn’t work right

It took me 10 minutes of train and looking at a few videos to figure this out but once I figured it out, it’s excellent. 1. The bag must be completely sealed. Sounds obvious, but you can seal the bag pretty well and it not be completely sealed. 2. After you leave it on for a second or two then it starts to show the bag shrinking so don’t give up. 3. Put a little pressure on it.
