Filters to replace the APEC Reverse Osmosis water filtration system.
I am writing this review to replace filters for the APEC Water Systems ROES-PHUV75 Essence Series Top Tier Alkaline Mineral and Ultra-Violet UV Sterilizer 75 GPD 7-Stage Ultra Safe Reverse Osmosis Drinking Water Filter System,white. The suggested replacement time period is 6 months but this will vary from household to household. In my case, even after 1.5 years of use, the water is at a safe drinking level of below 25 ppm. I used a HoneForest TDS device to test my water quality. When you are ready to replace your filters, be prepared with towels and maybe a basin because you will experience some water spillage. I've done this 3 times now and its never been water free. Please make sure to follow the instructions (turn of water valve, empty tank, etc). This last go around, I also needed to add pressure into the tank (another fun experience). After replacing the filter, I must say that the water does indeed taste better which are represented by improved in water quality measurements. Recommend its product and will come back again.

Overall great filters
We've been using this RO system since 2021. Great product. This filter set is overall nice. We replace every 12 months. Be aware that filter 6 (PH) is smaller than before and now doesn't hook on tightly to the clips. Kind of annoying but still functional.

Different size!
I bought this set twice over the last year. The first one fit perfectly into my ROES-PH75 but the second one has a little smaller mineralization module that is a little too small for the holding bracket. It is on the left in the attached picture. As you can see, even though the specs are the same, the cartridge even has a different model name, which isn't obvious until you get to compare it side by side with the old one. I hope it works as well as the last one.

Quality filters
I am replacing these filters for the first time on my APEC ROES-PH75 system. I ran my system for 14 months before replacing the filters. Total replacement time was approximately 20 minutes. Make sure you are prepared for some water spillage when replacing Stages 1-3 as the filter housing on each will be completely full of water and there is no way to drain it beforehand. I removed the entire filter assembly from under the kitchen sink and worked over a bath towel on the kitchen floor. APEC recommends changing these filters every 6-12 months, and the RO membrane and Stage 5 filter every 3-5 years. I was surprised by how much rust was captured by the first stage (I'm assuming that's what the color is from) since I am filtering city water. Water travels through this filter from the outside surface to its hollow center, then up to the next stage. The inner column was still just as white as the new filter, so it was definitely capturing everything. I might not wait 14 months before replacing these again. Picture 1 shows the 14-month old Stage 1 filter next to its new replacement. The second picture shows the 14-month old Stage 1-3 filters.

Great water quality!
Had the system in for about 2years and it works great. Water quality is the best. Notice it in out coffee and drinking water. Our friends has noticed a difference in coffee.

Filters different
All but the Stage 1 filter look different. The stage 2 and 3 carbon filters have a completely different look but are the same size. The stage 6 ph filter not only has a different name but the diameter is different. The smaller diameter does not allow it to connect to the filter clips. Pretty annoying that I have to just balance it on the filter now. Also why would they not mention anything about it changing size, name or look. I hope this is the right one?? It’s the same kit I bought last time so I assume it is the right one. I hope it works

6th stage filter size
They changed the casing size for the 6th filter. Name is different as well. Doesn't fit the original clips and its very loose. The only solution is to use cable ties.. Annoying, but works.

BEST Filters for this system! Replace at 6 months!
These are exactly what you need for the APEC Reverse Osmosis water filtration system. Once every 6 months. Some people wait a year, maybe that’s possible in some places but not here in NYC. You can always open up stages 1-3 and check on their color/level of “dirt”. Around the 6 month mark, our water levels slowed down significantly and then stopped completely. When I opened up the first 3 stages, BROWN DIRT/rust/slime all over the filter. The filters do what they are meant to do. I could have been ingesting that but thanks to these amazing filters and system, I don’t. Trust me on the 6 month mark. You’ll be surprised.

Perfect
Great filters. I replaced mine after 12 months but will keep next set for at least 18. This filter gives 12 TDS. Drinking water is from 0 to 300 TDS
