The stainless steel is best because high temperature cooking is bad for non-stick.

Works great for the price Don't need a big fancy rice cooker and boiling water is a pain, so this is perfect. I like the stainless steel because high temperature cooking is bad for non-stick. Especially, cheap non-stick. It's not perfect, but it's convenient. Two cups brown rice, three cups water is maximum.

Almost perfect!

The product came with a dent in the pot. It looks like it was made from the inside out, and I can’t imagine an explanation as to how that would have occurred. The package came as the original product box with a shipping label attached. The product’s box seemed well-protected. The glass lid is in fine shape. I’m happy with the rice cooker. It is smaller than I expected, but it’s totally a perfect size for me (and up to 1 or 2 more people!!) and I love how it doesn’t take up so much room. The rice server fits in the handle slot nicely, so I don’t need to set it down on the table. The rice serving paddle is not very heat resistant. The literature says not to use it when making soups. That surprised me… The cord seems very short to me, but it’s workable. I don’t have a countertop to sit it on, so I used a power strip to reach to the top of a stack of boxes. At 300W, it doesn’t need very much power to work and cook. I’m interested in buying a steamer basket attachment. That looks awesome for steaming veggies! I think it’s a great machine and worth the money, especially since there’s all stainless steel!!! I love that there isn’t any plastic in contact with the cooking food. The fact that it’s stainless steel is the ONLY reason I bought this. I didn’t buy from anyone else because I wanted stainless steel. I hate Teflon and other unnatural garbage leeching into my food. The rice I cooked is perfect, and I think it is pretty healthy! Great job, Aroma! I love that Stainless Steel!

Stainless steal pot.

This rice cooker has stainless steal pot. No….. not that kinda pot, dude…..No, it’s not a new exotic strain from California, what I’m saying is that this rice cooker will not shed harmful stuff into your rice. Exceptional value and it does a pretty good job. I love it and you will too!

Love this little gem.

I have been wanting a stainless steel rice cooker for a bit now. It is supposed to be better for your health than aluminum ones. So when I found this one and it was the right price I grabbed it. The bottom of the cooker is heavier and thicker than the aluminum one and seems well made. I have cooked white rice in it and I use 2 cups of water per 2 cups of white rice and once it cooks it fills the pot (as in picture). Rice was cooked completely. It has not splattered all over like others have said. I did think that the instructions were a bit confusing about measurements so I used what I know- 1 cup of water per one cup of white rice. It cooks fast and It cleans fast and well. I do unplug it as soon as it finishes cooking because even though it goes into warm mode it does not turn itself off completely. I love this rice cooker.

Stainless steel easy to clean

I always look for kitchen appliances that arr easy to clean after cooking and this rice maker is so easy to clean and I dont worry about scratching it!

Not accurate description

This does NOT make 6 C of cooked rice. I totally understand that 3C of dry rice makes 6C cooked rice, which this does not come close to making. A more accurate description is 3 C of cooked rice, using 1.5 C dry rice. I had this same brand before, and it had the same measurements ( 1.5 qt, 6 C ). My previous one made 6 C cooked rice. If you want a small cooker, this is perfect. Just don’t expect to get more than 3C edible rice!

Stainless steel maker is what I wanted

I wanted to switch out our rice maker from non-stick mystery material hand-me-down machine to the stainless steel. Over the holidays, I had the chance to use my sisters Aroma and liked it. The picture shown is from the second time using the rice maker. For some reason, it's boiling out of the steam hole and making a mess all over the counter! Used one cup rice and almost two cups water. Never had this issue with other rice makers.

Great little rice cooker

I got this because of the stainless steel bowl rather than a toxic non-stick bowl. The rice cooker finishes cooking before the rice is actually done but you just have to leave it on the warm setting for am additional 5-10 minutes for it to finish steaming so it's no big deal. It does clean pretty well for being stainless still. It is perfect size for 2-3 people but no more than that. It's pretty small but since it's only my husband and I, it is perfect size.

Simple, Safe, Easy

This is the best rice cooker I have ever used! It is simple to use (one switch) and easy to clean (just 2 part: pot and lid). It is safe with food grade stainless steel. And of course, the rice cooks perfectly every time! I gave away a 10 year old Aroma cooker to a student - it still functions fine. I bought myself a different brand one with more options - big mistake! There were so many tiny little parts to clean and on top of that the non-stick began to chip. I bought the stainless steel pot Aroma Rice Cooker again and am HAPPY!

Good rice,

Makes good rice, tried a variety of rice, all sticks to the bottom some, doesn't burn just sticks, stainless steel cleans up easily, would recommend.

Exceptional value

Very premium feel. I bought this to replace a 20yr old rice cooker with peeling teflon coating. A stainless steel inner pot was an absolute must for me, which really narrows the options. This rice cooker feels well made, is extremely simple to use, and the inner pot will last a lifetime.

Excellent rice cooker

The stainless steel liner is superb quality and has a heavy base for even heat distribution. Rinsing the rice before cooking helps it not stick to the liner and cleaning it is easy - not as easy as a coated liner but at least you're not being poisoned by horrible black coating leaching into your food so worth the extra minutes it takes to clean. I don't know if it could ever contain 3 cups of dry rice (6 cups cooked) without overflowing during cooking. I have only cooked 1.5 cups of dry at the most and that came dangerously close to bubbling over the top. I never store leftover cooked rice anyway due to the possibility of b. cereus so this cooker is a perfect size for one meal for 1 to 3 people. Very pleased with my purchase.

The rice sticks to the bottom of the pot.

The rice turns out very nice. It’s easy to use and easy to clean. What is very disappointing is that I discovered the rice will begin to stick to the bottom of the pan it as little as an hour if you leave it on warm setting. I was hoping I could cook my rice in this pot in the morning and keep it warm until the evening. It’s a good thing I didn’t try that. I’m sure it would have burned if I left it that long. If you are one who likes to prepare your dinner early and keep it warm for later, just cook your rice in a pot and microwave it later. Don’t spend money on this thing.
