Let me tell you .....

I started doing more of these 3D puzzles, so I wanted something a bit more challenging. I saw the unicorn / pegasus and thought YES. I WANT THAT. What I wanted though was the WINGED UNICORN but only found the Pegasus, so I thought close enough. TURNS OUT -- Just buying one of them gives you the option to make ANY VARIATION of the four!!! I wish I would have known that!!! You can buy either one and make the Stallion, Unicorn, Pegasus, or Winged Unicorn. I don't know why they didn't advertise that!! This one only advertises as the Pegasus, so that's what I thought I was getting. Lo and behold I did not realize that when I was assembling it. I noticed it came with TWO heads, which confused me. Then I realized one of the heads had a hole at the top where you can put the horn, so I was like "ohhh! I got the unicorn after all, how cool !!!" Well...... I didn't realize there were also TWO pieces for one of the backplates where one can accommodate the wings, and one did not. I did not realize this and had already grabbed the one WITHOUT the holes for the wings and assembled the entire unicorn that way before I realized my mistake. I WAS SO MAD. The worst part? My hands can't hold the pieces together that whole time, they kept falling out and all the pieces would fall and I'd have to start all over again, so what did I do? I *GLUED* them as I went along. So once I realized there was nowhere for me to put the wings in, it was too late, I had already glued the torso part together. So now I realized what I did and how mad I was at myself for not realizing this sooner, and had to buy another one. So now I have a regular unicorn and a WINGED unicorn. Fun times when you have learn the hard way from your mistakes!!!! Hope anyone reading this can take a good lesson out of this if they're going to assemble this puzzle. I still love the outcome though, so 5 out of 5 stars overall. Just be warned about the duplicate pieces so you can choose which horse you want to build.

Great product

I bought this as a replacement for the pegasus I got last year and accidentally broke. I was very happy with the results although it is definitely a difficult thing to assemble. If you are just starting out I would recommend an easier puzzle. But overall I was very happy with the results!!

Solid challenge for the line

While listed as a pegasus, this puzzle can be put together with or without the wings and horn (box lists the possible combinations as stallion, winged unicorn, pegasus, and unicorn). 44 pieces overall, but that's including the wings, horn, base, 2 rods, an alternate head (without horn hole) and alternate piece of the torso (without the wing sockets). The pieces are relatively small, and the horse body is roughly the same length as a single wing. When putting this one together, keep in mind that the long peg will secure the back legs and wings (if used), and is inserted front-to-back midway through the torso (hidden on final assembly). The short peg will secure the chest and front leg portion. The miscellany additions beyond piecing the puzzle together include the neck (2 pieces), head of choice (1 piece), horn if used (1 piece), tail (1 piece), chest plate (1 piece), and rear plate (1 piece). The wings are a pain to add on/hold in place during assembly, and very similar in that regard to the Tinkerbell puzzle in this line. The alternate torso piece wasn't immediately obvious during assembly, which was a bit confusing at first. Surprisingly, the puzzle doesn't peg onto the baseplate, and can slide easily (similar to the wolf puzzle in this line). Overall a solid addition to the series, but definitely a bit of a challenge.

Annoying but worth it

So this is cute but the most frustrating of my 3D puzzles. The wings kept popping off before I could get the puzzle to hold them on. It was rage inducing and I had to leave the puzzle for a few minutes to collect myself. Never had a moment like this happen however once it’s assembled, it’s beautiful. The face piece pops off a little too easily since you can create the horse with or without a horn (there are 2 head pieces for this purpose) so just don’t bump it’s face too much but I still recommend this puzzle if you’ve had practice with other 3D puzzles

Piece Broke - No Exchange

I bought this puzzle for my daughter for her birthday (which to find out was after the exchange/refund date). She was able to play with it for a few hours before a piece broke. My daughter has multiple 3D puzzles for she is collecting them. This is not on the brand or her but disappointing that she wasn't able to put the whole puzzle together to enjoy the end image. I'll be reaching out to the actually company to see if they do something for my daughter than Amazon. For other reviewer: These puzzles are amazing!!! My daughter has multiple puzzles and has a list of multiple more she wants. Used to keep her entertained for hours has become a challenge to see how fast she came complete them.

Same as the Unicorn Puzzle, just different colors

It was definitely one of the more complicated puzzles, which I loved, but I also bought the unicorn puzzle in purple without realizing they were the exact same puzzle, so only 4 stars because the packaging and item names are misleading.

Absolutely Beautiful

As I said before with the little blue bird I'll say it again with the blue horse. I love this color. This blue is so beautiful. I got this one with the Black Stallion (turned Pegasus) and it looks gorgeous next to him. One thing I forgot to mention with the stallion was to watch yourself with the locking devices, they are tricky on these two. I have the black one and the blue one and now I can't wait to get the purple one. Such fun. I just love these puzzles so much. I hope they keep making more of these.

Very fun puzzle and beautiful when assembled

I love these puzzles and have assembled over 20 of them. This one is very fun and can be Pegasus, a unicorn, a flying unicorn, or horse, by swapping out extra pieces. A very fun puzzle. The only thing I would say is that they may not be the perfect gift just because the outside boxes always appear to be a little damaged. Like they were pulled off shelves in a store because the box was messed up. However all of them were in sealed plastic and unbroken

A little out of order helps.

I really enjoyed putting this puzzle together. Be sure to get the instructions from their website. All of the pieces have a number, and the instructions online tell what order to assemble it in. Sort the pieces so that obvious parts (head, legs wings, etc) are away from the rest of the body parts. Just like finding the corner pieces of a regular puzzle. I found it stayed together better when I put the long pole into the body ASAP. Don't tighten it, you will need to remove it as you get closer to the end, but it helps keep all the pieces together. Once you get to the step where you were supposed to use it, then you can tighten it. Well packaged and promptly shipped. I love it!!
