One of my favorite tools

Bought it to replace an identical meter one of the illegals at work stole.Very nice for troubleshooting cars, trucks, generators, anything electrical.

Works great and easy to use without glasses

Bought this to replace the same model that got crushed by my toolbox in the bed of my truck... Works great, easy to use, and now I have 2 sets of leads. I love the extra large display that I can read without glasses. Also same for where to plug the leads - easy guide with each function, no glasses needed. The rubber cover on this one feels stiffer than my 10 year old model, which makes changing the battery a challenge. But so far, so good.

Figured out how it works just as I was about to chuck it.

***update—I figured out how to use the RPM feature. On my 6v VW place the red lead on one side of the coil (#15) and the black probe on the other side of the coil (#1). This is different than any other RPM sensor I’ve used before and there is no manual included with the meter****** This is for the Bosch fix7677 automotive multimeter. As other reviews state the RPM function is not accurate/doesn’t work. Not even close. It could be because I have a 6 volt system, but no way of knowing. The dwell angle function seems to be accurate as well as the other functions I tried. But as an “automotive meter” if the RPM’s don’t function, it’s hardly worth it. I wish I spent my money elsewhere. And I’ll add it doesn’t have an auto off feature. I mean, come on Bosch, we expect more. At least I did.

Not quite professional

Not worth the $30 O'Reilly wants for it. It has professional functions but not professional quality. I just bought the FIX 7677 "Professional" Multimeter, and I am quite frustrated. No where on the packaging does it state that a 9V battery is required. I would have bought one while at the store had I known that it was not supplied in the packaging. I have purchased much better meters in the past and batteries were *always* included. Not only that, the manual doesn't even tell you until page 7 how to replace the battery and fuses. It's not even until page 7 that you even find out what battery is actually required. Furthermore, there is no battery door on the thing (to which the instructions refer); it appears that the entire back cover must be removed which can only be done after you remove the rubber housing which is doomed to deteriorate and break within the next year or so.
