Size "small" is perfect for me
First off, I adore hats. My favorite part of the spring when I was a kid was going shopping for my Easter hat. That was in the 60s and I couldn't wait until I was grown and could wear a pill-box or a velvet one with the cool mini veil like my mom and her friends. I figured I was the only American woman who was saddened by the fact that hats lost favor. And then I heard about the Red Hat Society. Turns out there must a whole bunch of us and some of them even banded together when reaching the age where we don't really care if it is trendy or not. I am not quite ready to go all 'wide brimmed, floppy hat with purple feathers', but I was looking for a couple of hats that were NOT made of wool for the spring. Upon first sight, I really liked this hat. When shopping for non-essentials, I try to buy only goods made in North America or Europe and over the years it has been increasingly difficult to find these. I delayed on this purchase because I didn't know its origin. My research of Brixton wasn't much help because I found they do sell hats manufactured US-- but also hats from all over, including China. *sigh* Since I couldn't come up with any other source for a hat I liked produced in a SMALL or 6-7/8 (I am pointing at you, Stetson) without spending $100 or more I eventually decided to just go for it. Turns out, it was made in China. But because it fits me so perfectly and is not what one typically finds in quality when inspecting (or would that be "...what one *does not* find..."?) I am happy to call it MINE--My New Hat! I am going to attempt to post a couple of photos showing the inside detail for those who may be interested. It is lined and the inner band is finished nicely. It is worth the $35 and if I were to lose this one I would most likely buy another just like it. I might even get the grey fiddler by Brixton for when I am wearing black.

Can't order large; they send the wrong size indefinitely
I ordered Large over and over. All they send is XS and XL. On my 9th order to fix this, not fixed yet. I love the hat but I need the right size.

Black fiddler cap
I ordered the black cap in a size Large. The black cap is 100% cotton as the tag says. I wear a 7 1/2 in New Era baseball hats so i ordered the Large that says its a 7 1/2. It fits as it should. Maybe a tiny looser because of the shape of the hat but its very comparible to a fitted ball cap. These hats need to be tried on . So be prepared that it may not fit snug or you may look goofy with it on. Only one way to find out . The quality is very good and wouldnt expect any less from Brixton. Overall ill be rockin this all summer long.

Great Fiddler Cap
I first ordered the unstructured version of this hat and found it a bit too youngish for my style. I returned it and upgraded to the more classic Brixton Fiddler Cap. This one suits me perfectly! I wrote the above review when I bought my first Brixton cap; blue in color, also cotton and similar to denim—a bit of a throwback to the blue jean caps of the seventies. My second Brixton cap is also a winner, dressier in appearance because it’s in black cotton and less casual looking. Whereas my blue cap goes with any shirt and jeans I wear, my new black ‘fiddler’ from Brixton would wear well with a suit or blazer/sport coat and tie. These caps have a great structure, holds shape well when packed for travel. I typically wear a small to medium size hat; this is a size small, but more like a medium; works fine since it tends to hug the sides of the head, not the front and back. I’m looking forward to wearing this Brixton cap even more than my first one since it go well with the black and gray jackets I’ll be wearing this fall and winter.

Brixton Fiddler; Great Style, but a little thin
This is a nice hat. I love the style of it, and it fits pretty well; although it is a little big on my head. I know that if I bought a medium then it would be too small, so that is not a major drawback. I had a green fiddler hat years ago that was a Brixton, and it was a heavier gauge ''canvas'' material. This hat is made of a very thin polyester and wool blend. I would have liked for this hat to be a heavier gauge material as well, but I guess you can't have everything. I notice this trend in a lot of clothing items: pants, shirts, socks, jackets...etc. I guess Brixton is saving money with the thinner material. I suppose it widens its profit margins. That is why I could not give it five stars. My wish would for the next hat to be a little thicker, and made of a canvas material. All in all, I'm okay with the fit and love the style.

Confusing size chart but great hat
I was given a brown corduroy version a while back, so I was lucky to have a size reference, although we just measured my head for that one and the band size was right on with what we measured. I don't really wear the brown one because I always felt that there was too much material on the top. It is too billowy and doesn't look or fit like a fiddler cap should. I took a chance on this one because I really wanted a black one. This one is much more proportional and fits correctly. I do have a quip with the size chart, as the chart says small's upper limit is 6-7/8 but the hat itself says 7. So the hat size is correct compared to head measurement, but the chart is off. The hat itself is sturdy, comfortable and looks very classic and classy. I like the subtle rope rather than the fancy embroidered business on some others. For those of us who are originally from "the old countries" this hat brings back good memories. Now I get to look a little more like the men I respected and looked up to as a kid.

Love these hats, but had to swap for the same size (XL) as first XL was too small
I own 8 Brixton hats now - Fiddlers, Broods and an Ollie - I love them as their XL is exactly my size, 62cm, whilst most companies skip from 61 to 63. Great quality, great looking hats and XL always fits me right. Sadly, the first of these I bought on Amazon actually measured up at only 60cm - way too tight, so I took a chance on returning it to swap for a second XL. Thankfully, the second one fits as expected! Other people complaining about XL being too big on here clearly didn't read the size charts. If like me you have a 62cm head and bother to read the sizing chart, you'll find the XL will fit you perfectly - and if it doesn't, do be sure to return and try again...

Smart, comfortable top quality hat
I bought a Large size hat (60cm). It is an excellent fit and stays on in strong winds and very comfortable to wear. This is a quality item, superior to many similar products, for which you do pay a premium, but worth it in the long run.

A great cap
Excellent well made cap, true to size, so fits as expected. This is my third Brixton cap and I can happily recommend them to others. Especially when you are able to buy them for half the normal price, as I have.
