Beautiful sound on pretty clock

I like the size - easy to read and doesn't take up the whole wall. The hourly chime is perfect. I don't miss the every 15 minutes my old clock has after all it sounds like cathedral bells, not like an electronic clock. And the colors are great. It's obvious that it's not stained glass, and the pendulum is tiny.

I like the look and I like the sound of the chime. My only complaint is that it says it will chime on the quarter hour, but it does not.

Accuracy and quality is excellent. Worth the money

I am surprised and pleased at the quality and depth of the chime. I have been using the Westminster on the hour as that has always been my favorite. I do wish I didn't have to take the whole clock off the wall to change any settings because I had a grandfather clock. With it I could open the front and make adjustments. Of course, with a battery system, I can understand why the adjustments are on the back. Just want folks to be aware. I'm very happy with this clock.

Works great and the chime isn't intrusive. I'm always amused by the quizzical look on some faces when the chime rings and I'm asked "what's that?" It sounds beautiful, but isn't a big floor model.

Not as described

The description stated that it used 1 double a and 2c batteries, the model I received uses 4 double a batteries. It also stated that the Westminster chimes had a quarter hour option it does not Update on responses I have received I do not have a single good think to say about my Bulova product and would urge others not to buy from them. Pasted below is the email sent to them this week Comment =For last 4 to 6 weeks I have been trying to get a response from Bulova regarding the wall clock I purchased. It does neither fit the product description or work.The product is C4836 Thistle in Bloom clock. According to the product information it runs on double a and c batteries,the product I received runs only on double a batteries. It should also have an option for quarter hour chimes, the one I received does not.It has never synchronized with the actual time, chiming 3 hours of, and chime sounds like Alvin and the Chipmunks were used for the recordingAs angry as I am over my inability to get any customer support email is the wrong medium to use. Email does not equal customer service and demonstrates a complete lack of respect for your customers. My call back number is The email was sent after trying to get someone called Peter Yuen to call me back for over 4 weeks and multiple calls.(212 497 1864). A number I was given by the only human being I reached at Bulova during that time. The auto response I received from Bulova has states their business hours are 8 to 9 EST. Interesting after I pointed out the fact the actual work 7:30 to 4:30 that auto reply to my email is no longer part of the email chain Theirsolution to my problem was to send me the PDF spec to clock. So I still have a clock that chimes a time 3 hours different to the actual time, that I cannot turn on the quarter hour chime function and sounds like Alvin and the chipmunks when it chimes. The only change is that the product spec states it runs on 4 double a batteries, which mine does even though the website said it ran on 2 double a and 2 c batteries Apparently Bulova thinks my problem is resolved, as I have received a "how did we do style email". How did you do? You failed miserably on all counts. As a company you are an incredible disappointment. I would never buy another Bulova or citizen, or any other related copany product again. But that does not change the fact I still have the lemon I was sold, and paid for. I am also posting this to my own Facebook page and the website it was purchased from. Great Chimes

Beautiful clock, great chime sounds, somewhat difficult to program.

I love the looks of this clock but if you want the chimes to ring correctly, good luck! I’ve set and reset it according to the instructions,which are VERY detailed. Although it chimes on the hour it does NOT ring the correct number of chimes for THE hour. It’s not a big deal to me but I would guess this might upset some people.

Awesome clock.

Everyone loves this clock. The chime tone for the hour is slightly different than the tone of the chiming for Westminster. Our older Bulova wall clock had a Westminster chime sound that was identical to the hour chime. That made it difficult to determine the correct hour based on the sound of the chimes alone. One would have to listen more intently to distinguish between one hour and the next. With this clock it is easier to differentiate the correct time based on sound alone.

Excelente reloj

Éste es un excelente reloj, bien terminado, con funcionamiento preciso. Es notable la calidad del sonido de las campanas, no suena con timbre electrónico, están bien grabados los diferentes sonidos, el volumen se puede ajustar y tiene modo nocturno apagado. Muy buen producto.
