so glad I got this
It makes great coffee. Perfect technology that it has a thermal cup and no burner plate. That's exactly how coffee should be made. A burner plate ruins the coffee, yet 99% of coffee makers have that useless feature. This is compact and stylish. I make a strong cup and water it down with a thermos of hot water so I get about 4 cups to last the day.

My Favorite Coffee Maker
This is my second purchase of this coffee maker - the 1st one lasted 13 years!! I love it because of the reusable coffee filter and it makes just enough coffee for a single use. The only difference I can tell from this model vs the one I had before was the "on" button is chunkier. I hope it lasts just as long but I love it.

A premium 1-cup coffee maker
I just bought a second one of these for my office after buying the first one about 7 years ago from Costco. It makes a perfectly hot cup of coffee in three minutes. I get up an hour or two before my wife, so it doesn't make sense to make a pot of coffee. Neither of us enjoy coffee that's been slow-cooking in a pot on a burner for an hour. We make three or four cups per day, at different times of the day, and have done so nearly every day for 7 years. The machine still works like new. Another reason I prefer this to a full size coffee pot is it's easier to clean. I use paper filters in the basket (size 4 cone filters), so literally the only thing that needs to be cleaned is the filter basket. I just rinse it in hot water between uses, and maybe once a week wash it with hot soapy water. I have used one-cup coffee makers by other companies and they all work okay to good, and cost about half as much as this Capresso machine. But they feel cheaper, not as well-made, and every single one of them has died after about 1-2 years. Capresso/Jura is a premium brand with reputable coffee makers and espresso machines. I don't mind paying $40 instead of $20 for a premium coffee maker that works reliably perfectly and will last way more than twice as long as the cheap ones.

Very happy. Great coffee that is user-friendly to make. Bye-bye Keurig!
I spent hours researching alternatives to the Keurig when ours died, including large drip machines, French presses, manual methods, and personal coffee makers. Based on the reviews and ease of use I bought the Capresso On The Go. The Capresso is a great alternative to the Keurig. We have had many Keurig machines over the last several years and have never been able to get a good cup of coffee. Also, they always break within a year or two. The Capresso makes a great cup of coffee. You can adjust the strength to your personal preference and, if you use a coffee grinder, you can also adjust the coarseness of the grind. At first we thought the coffee tasted odd, until we realized that we were used to creamer flavored bitter water from the Keurig. I had been using the cheapest coffee I could find in the Keurig because even expensive coffees made no difference. When I realized that the coffee made in the Capresso actually tasted like coffee, I bought a grinder and good coffee beans. What a difference! We are looking forward to trying all different kinds of coffee. Even though we are happy with the Capresso, there are a couple of things to be aware of. The water does not fully drain when making a cup of coffee, so if you use the mug to refill the reservoir it will overflow out of the back of the machine and make a mess. We use a measuring cup to put in 11 ounces of water rather than using our coffee mug. Also, as other reviewers have stated, the coffee continues to drip for a minute after it is done brewing. In order to avoid a mess, we either leave our cup for an extra minute or we put an empty cup in its place to catch the drippings. My biggest complaint is the price. The machine is very simple and light weight, made mostly of plastic. In my opinion, the quality does not justify the price. Also, I just saw the same machine at Costco for $15, which is less than half the cost that I paid on Amazon. It would be nice if the quality was better. It would also be great if there was a way to see how much water was in the machine from the outside rather than trying to look inside. Other than these couple of things, we are very happy with the Capresso.

It takes SOFT pods.
I didn't realize this machine didn't take my k pods. I'd never even heard of soft pods. I had to do some quick research. I was a bit skeptical because I've used the same brand of k pods for years. BUT, this coffee maker is the BEST! I love using the soft pods vs. the k pods. It brews my coffee quickly. And I usually always have to heat my coffee after brewing. Not with this machine. My coffee comes out nice and hot.

Reliable
I have been using this daily for 5.5 years. It still works the same as day 1. Coffee in the mug comes out at about 190-195F. I use the provided filter basket and grind my own beans. I've also used store already-ground coffee but I do get some fines at the mug bottom. That bothers some so we sometimes use a paper filter (trimmed #4 cone filter.) The included travel mug was poorly insulated and inferior to others I've used. Thrown away pretty quick. It drips for a few minutes after the brew finished so I just use an old mug to capture that. Too much coffee results in splatter of grounds within the unit so you learn what the max level of coffee is to avoid that - adjust water quantity to control strength.

Quick and easy cup of coffee
Overall, this is a great replacement for my old single cup coffee maker. The only real downsides I would have to say are that it drips for a while after the cycle is over so you have to put something under there or you will be cleaning this thing all the time. Also the cup it comes with is not that good. I use my own in place to the one that it comes with.

Good enough for me!
They're right it's really light in weight but it so far has been very good and dependable..so I probably should've got the 25$ one at Walmart but this one works as expected and that means it makes a cup of coffee lol.

Good single cup machine
Makes good coffee. Comes with permanent nylon/plastic filter, however, it would’ve been better if it was Goldtone filter. Also, not sure if I can get a filter replacement if it gets damaged with time.

Works fine, enjoy making tea with it, but it is not K-cup compatible.
Fine, not K cup compatible.

Makes good hot coffee in no time
This coffee maker is simple, makes strong hot coffee in no time and is so easy to clean. I love the full stainless steel travel mug that comes with it. It also takes little space on the counter. I definitely recommend it!

It doesn’t brew the coffee
This is a terrible coffee maker. Easy to use BUT the coffee it brews isn’t drinkable. When it starts to brew, it doesn’t. The liquid comes out like warm (you can hold your finger under the spout during brewing. And it isn’t brewed, the liquid is barely tinted (weak tea colour). I order quite a bit from Amazon and this is the first time I want to return an item. It doesn’t heat the water to a temperature where it can brew coffee, it’s a pity because the size and look is good, nothing else.
