Surprised at quality

I avoid any sunscreen with zinc oxide in it as it always leaves a white cast no matter what. Additionally, most U.S. sunscreens, due to limited filter options, tend to be too heavy and greasy for me. This sunscreen manages to be lightweight, non-greasy, and it leaves a nice glowy/hydrated finish. I get my sunscreens from Europe or Asia, but this is the first U.S. sunscreen that has a comparable texture and finish and I will certainly be using it as a body cream all year round. I was truly shocked! I also love the thin, watery consistency as it allows me to layer it up without it getting too heavy. I have fair, olive skin and this does not leave any noticeable white cast as long as I blend it in well. However, due to the nature of zinc oxide, I cannot comment on how this would show up on darker skin tones. As I imagine, there would be a slight ashiness as I did test this sunscreen for flashback on my face and there was a subtle, but noticeable, cast. Due to my paleness, it is not noticeable in daylight. Also, there is no strong sunscreen scent which also shocked me! CeraVe made a great product here.

Feels light on your skin

I like that this does not feel heavy on my skin. I wore it walking on the beach and bike riding. I did not get red at all. It rubs into your skin very well. It goes on white but very quickly rubs in completely so no white is visible.

An improvement from Ceraves current offerings

This sunscreen is in between the size of a face and body sunscreen so be aware of this prior to ordering. It’s a smaller bottle. I used this on both my face and body to try it out. I worked out and this sunscreen didn’t burn my eyes when i sweat and didn’t leave a white cast when i used a 1/4 teaspoon for my face only. I am half Iranian so i have a deeper skin tone. My only issue is that this sunscreen is oily and you can tell you have a film on your skin. It’s not awful but considering all of the options on the market, i probably wouldn’t repurchase. This sunscreen is a good option for those with darker skin tones that don’t want to spend a ton on a mineral sunscreen.

Cerave needs to change the other spouts in the sunscreen line.

The spout has a silicon that does contain the product and it doesn’t leak out like the sheer tinted sunscreen. It’s a bit runny in comparison to regular sunscreen. It did a good job with one application and stayed on the entire day with the recommended amount. Doesn’t have the traditional sunblock scent.

Amazing

The bottle however is slightly small for what the price is but i can't deny this works perfectly! If you're going to use on your face make sure to use a small amount not enough to fully clog pores.

Black (Medium Brown) Skin Approved!

I’m not really a reviewer, but I’ve been wanting a mineral sunscreen for a minute - and this is a winner! As a Black woman (medium brown complexion?), that wish has gone unfulfilled for a minute. But this is really amazing! It’s so light and legit practically sheer. This photo was taken less than 3 minutes after rubbing in a decent amount. It’s pretty thin/runny, so it went a long way. It was easy to rub in and feels moisturizing. I put it on over my very lightweight moisturizer. I’m so pleased! I think makeup will go on well on top of this sunscreen, but I was too excited to review this and haven’t gotten to my make up yet. Oh and it’s virtually odorless, which is great. I will update the review if anything changes my mind. But I love it so far!
