They ARE low profile...

These are a low profile base with the break-away bottom piece. Low profile meaning it is tapered very low to the edges to the top of the base. The top is a waffle style rubber that seems very rigid and will allow a cleat to not slip off the bag. You get the Bases, break away plugs and new metal plugs if you need them. Very good value in my opinion. I purchased 2 sets of these. The pictures don't show it, but they are a low profile base.

Non slip good bases.

Perfect bases! You need to pound the rubber stake into bottom of base with rubber mallet to keep them from coming off during normal base running which is the only downfall to these bases so either keep one handy or place rubber stake snug into hole and give it a smack or two on the ground and stake will go back in. They work excellent and do pop off when you slide into them.

Meets the need

Needed base set for 16U travel softball team, and these work quite well; hoping to get anchors installed on diamond; so we no longer have to dig a hole each game.

Not Good

I understand these are break away bases... but wow. They are supposed to come off when someone is sliding into them, not when they are just running and rounding the base. These didn't even make it thru the first game before I put the old ones back in.
