Heavy material, no breast pocket. Other than that, works fine

The material is a thicker and heavier than I'm used to my chef coats being, so if you work in a hot kitchen or get hot easily, I'd recommend finding a coat made of lighter material. Also didn't notice there was no breast pocket until after I bought it, but that's on me. Other than that, does its job and holds up to frequent washing.

This uses U.S. sizing Slightly larger than normal.

I ordered this jacket , and based on my previous selection, I went with an XXL. It arrived, and was WAY to big, so I ordered the next size smaller. This fits well, although it feels a bit larger than normal. I discovered my previous jacket was based on "Oriental" sizing. This jacket is based on U.S. sizing. So far, so good. We'll see how it holds up.

Very nice coat, but beware of sizing and style descriptions.

First off I'd like to thank everyone who left a review here you saved me a return. I bought this coat in black for costuming, I am not a cook, though I think this would be a very nice chefs coat as well. I use this jacket for an inaccurate Star Wars ROTJ costume, my V for vendetta costume and with a priest collar. I think it looks really sharp and may even wear it out. It is a durable polyester/cotton blend mostly poly feel a little stiff before washing. Now as one reviewer stated it does not have the front pocket as pictured, which I was happy about, it does have the temperature gauge/pencils pockets on the upper sleeve. Now the sizing was the most tricky for most people, because of previous reviews I ordered the medium and I usually wear a large in most shirts and coats. This coat fits me perfectly, couldn't be happier. I am 6'1", 178lbs thin and usually I wear a 38-40 long suit jacket. This medium size should fit about ~15-17 size neck, ~35-42 chest and waist and has sleeves long enough to come to my wrists on my longer size arms. Overall, a very comfortable coat, would make a nice chefs coat and works great for my costuming needs. Just be careful of the inaccurate description and sizing.

First of all thank you Amazon. Unfortunately the materials that Chef Works makes their chef coats with today is very different than a few years ago. My chef coat that I but several years ago is much softer than the one that I just ordered. Unfortunately I'm going to have to research other Chef clothing companies to order my chef coats and pants from now on.
