Sturdy - can be challenging to assemble - don't slide under matching table

I ordered these chairs to be used with the Christopher Knight matching bar height table that I had purchased. The table and chairs look good together, with the woven wicker matching up well. However, the arm height of the chairs is about 1/4" too tall to enable them to slide underneath the table edges. Also, even if the arms were slightly lower, the legs on the table would prohibit the stools from sliding under by more than an inch or so. Doesn't make sense to me that matching table and chairs don't work well together? So, if you are going to have sit a little "away" from the table edge and "lean in" if you are eating a meal. Regarding assembly see below: These chairs are very sturdy once assembled. I read various reviews saying screw holes don't line up, or threads on female inserts were damaged, etc. I did not have any of those issues. All of mine lined up, but it's very important not to tighten down any screws until you have all screws inserted, to allow some wiggle room with any that may be slightly out of alignment. I did have a couple of screw holes that were partially blocked by the woven wicker material. I just gently pushed the material out of the way and everything worked fine. So, if you are having trouble getting a screw started, take a look and make sure the wicker is not over lapping / partially covering up the hole. The paint on the male screws and female inserts make finger tightening difficult. You have to use a wrench for the entire length of the screw. The supplied Allen Wrench will work for you, but I highly recommend using a 5mm or 3/16 allen socket with a ratchet. If you own a ratchet wrench, but don't own a set of allen sockets, try to borrow one or get a cheap set at Harb Freight. There are many screws where no matter which end of the supplied Allen Hand Wrench you use, you can't turn more than 1/4 turn at a time, and you will find it time consuming and frustrating to constantly having to remove the hand allen wrench and re-insert just to get another 1/4 turn. Also, a few of the screws are up and under the seat frame, somewhat recessed, and you will have trouble just getting the hand allen wrench inserted into the screw head each time. Summary - happy with the way chairs look and feel. Assembly can be challenging if you don't own an applicable set of tools. Unhappy that chairs don't work well with matching table.

Decent outdoor chairs - durability limited

I bought these in June 2019 and they were great for about three years but now they're falling apart - the material is fraying everywhere. Certainly they could have lasted longer if I had space to store them away from constant exposure to the elements. But I live in a small urban condo and had no choice but to leave them on the south-facing balcony 24/7/365. My partner, friends, and I enjoyed sitting on these and reading/drinking/eating on the balcony for the three years they lasted. I suppose I got some of what I paid for. Time to find something more durable!

Solid & Comfortable - assembly can be tricky

We purchased similar Christopher Knight chairs like this 6 years ago and, after sitting in the weather the entire time, they finally rusted out. These are the new model and they seem very similar materials and design so I expect the same. They are very comfortable and sturdy enough for big guys. I'll keep these more protected to avoid them rusting but I was ok with the time we got out of this brand for the price you pay. Assembly is doable with one person but it goes much faster with two to help align and hold the panels while trying to get the screws secure. No issues or missing pieces during assembly. I'd buy again.

Good Height for What we needed

This is the second time we've purchased these chairs. We needed 4 and only ordered 2 the first time. Since we live on an island and close to the ocean, we look forward to seeing how they can stand the test of the salt air that rusts everything. For now, they are the perfect height, sturdy and were very easy to put together.

I bought 6 chairs in the summer of 2016 for my pool patio in Houston,TX. They were easy to assemble and sturdy. Fast forward to why I'm writing this review now. I contacted the seller this week to ask if I could buy a new replacement front footrest as one of the chairs footrests rusted through. I thought I would be charged for the piece and shipping, but to my surprise they made a one time out of warranty replacement exception and sent me the part the same week. That is outstanding customer service as I was only asking if I could buy one! The footrests on the other chairs are fine with no signs of rust. Living in Houston with high temperatures and humidity, not many outdoor items have lasted this long. I look forward to many more years with these chairs. I'm completely satisfied with this purchase, their customer support and would buy from them again. Thank you for the awesome response.

Good chair but the assembly...

These chairs are comfy though a little narrow if you're on the bigger side (17" seat... isn't that basically like an airline seat, not the best for my hubby). Regardless of being on the smaller side, I would give the chairs 5 stars as I find them super comfy but the assembly... ugh, the assembly! I am a very patient person, I've built tv stands, bookcases, small cabinets... I'm good, I'm patient, but these chairs. It was literally the front screws on the seat that needed to be attached to the bars, these screws needed to be done from under the seat and I damn near lost my mind. I would had been okay if the manufacturer put the screws on the outside like the screws attached to the back of the seats but I get aesthetically they wanted them hidden. A big pain in the butt, it is awkward and annoying but if you can get through the build I think you'll be happy with the purchase.
