Classy yet comfortable

I’ve worn chukka boots for decades and really like this newer version. The soles of these shoes are truly designed for comfort, and have lines cut in them to allow for easier movement, like many modern sneakers and walking shoes. They are very comfortable like any good chukka should be. I wear these to my office and in general, but have no intention of using them for hard outdoor work or hiking. I wear a size 9.5 and these shoes fit me perfectly in that size. If you wear chukka boots and already like them, you’ll like these for sure. They’re a newer version of a classic that is modernized, super comfortable and true to the original style. I highly recommend them. And if these are your first try in buying chukka boots, this version is an excellent one to start with.

Too large had to return

Ordered 8.5 stone grey suede. Looked nice and Tried them on but they were way to large. Perhaps a full size to big. I have returned then. I am debating if I will order another set? Will update if I do. —Sept 1,2022

Too big

I like the shoes a lot, but they definitely run too large. I recommend getting a full size below your normal size for these to fit comfortably.

great shoe good price

I ordered these at first they where to large, and the color wasn't right so I return them and got smaller size a half size smaller and the dark brown instead of dark tan ,and wow they fit perfect and the color is great, and the price was less, so im happy with amazon for these great shoes .so these are right on with the size and its real leather, oh yah and easy on easy off, theres only 2 colors and one appears to be reddish in color but its not its actually different,but dark brown looks right free shipping free return ,I will be back ,

Great shoe out if the box.

They were great out of the box. I took the advice of the previous buyers and bought a size smaller and they were perfect since they do run small. I mixed a little liquid black polish with some brown kiwi and they now have a perfect darker tone since they come a little blond in color. The leather is soft and has no blemishes. Great shoes and feel wonderful.

Half size too big!

Alittle big, although I wear size 9 on Cole Haan shoe I should have ordered 1/2 size smaller. Overall, the boot was OK.

Better if they didn’t come damaged

The Forge Stride chukka boots look nice (dark brown), and yes, they do run large. I normally wear a 10.5 or 11 (depending on the shoe brand) and ordered a 10 and they fit fine. When I opened the Amazon package, the boots were in a plain box, not in a Clarks Shoes box—which made me a little suspicious from the start. Then I noticed the left boot has light (but noticeable) scratches across the top middle (“vamp”) area. I know shoes (and especially boots) are bound to get scuffed up, but I like to do my own scuffing and not buy “new” shoes that are already damaged (however major or minor). I tried them on and they’re not as comfortable as other Clarks I have, but I planned on keeping them anyway until I noticed the scratches. When I bought these chukka boots on Amazon, they were $69.99. Now they’re listed as $110. So if I return them, will I have to pay $110 to get scratch-less chukka boots? A simple transaction has turned into an unwelcome hassle.

Good value and decent pair of shoes

I really found this to be a good fit for the office. Not something I would want to walk in for too long but looks good and fit very well. I have a wider foot and found this one fit nicely. Good value for the amount I paid I think.
