significant upgrade from my old Craftsman box!

I have had the same toolbox for ~30 years. I knew exactly how to lay out the tools to get the trays back in and get the lid to close, which honestly was a pain but was just how it worked from the beginning. After the latches failed, I started searching for a new toolbox and spent time in retailers trying everything that I could get my hands on. I finally settled on this product and I am very pleased. MOSTLY because there is a pouch for everything with plenty of room for more stuff, and I only have one layer of miscellaneous tools laying in the bottom of the bag. This leaves room for those few tools or batteries that you normally don't carry every day, but will need for the current job. There are rubber feet on the underside which really makes sense, and the handle is great. I have not tried the shoulder strap, but I'm sure it will come in handy. My only caution is this; you will load this with too much stuff!! I moved everything from my old toolbox and then decided that I could carry EVERYTHING that I might ever need. The product didn't seem to struggle, but my arms and shoulders sure did. I would recommend this product to anyone that needs to have lots of tools for varying needs at your fingertips.

Best plumbing bag ever!

My husband had this exact CLC bag for many years. I guarantee it didn't cost any where near $90 back then-or her never would have bought it! When the first bag gave out, my husband balked at the current price-and looked around for something cheaper. While he did that, I ordered the CLC bag. When it comes to tools, it really doesn't pay to go cheap. I wonder how much it will cost when he needs another one...in 10+ years!

Great Tool Bag, Great Customer Service

When I ordered this tool box, it shipped to me without the removable partition or shoulder strap. I contacted the company and within 24 hours the missing parts were on their way to me (granted it will take a few extra days for them to arrive). I am slightly irritated I had to do anything since I wanted to use the tool box right away, but I definitely appreciate CLC quickly fixing the error and it was much better and quicker than having to ship it back to Amazon and wait for a new one. Now for the tool box itself. I am an advanced DIY guy, and do a little light machining as part of my job, so I was looking for a tool box that could easily carry a 115-drill bit set, a few Plano 3500 series compartment boxes (which, by the way, fit great in the two larger end pockets), callipers, dial indicators, and a random assortment of other tools and stock. This tool bag is light, which means it remains manageable even when loaded down with stuff, unlike the all steel boxes I was also looking at. The pockets are for the most part useable for typical tools, although I wish the two smaller end pockets were the same as the larger end (small pockets are on the tape measure clip end). The material seems to be well stitched together, the handle is comfortable (although I'll have to see how the foam holds up in the long run...), the frame feels sturdy without any noticeable flex, and overall it seems well made. Some things in particular: - The pen pockets are mounted high up; pro: you can always get to your pen/scribe, con: a sharpie sticks up above the end wall. - As pointed out in other reviews, the bottom is cloth, so if you carry heavy, odd shaped things, fitting a piece of 1/4 ply to the bottom is helpful if you use the movable divider. - It does not have velcro straps on the two ends (like the similar Home Depot box) for strapping a long level or blueprints or welding rods to - I may try to retrofit this myself. Overall, I am very happy with my purchase. I personally would not hesitate buying another CLC product or recommending this tool box to a friend based on my experience so far.

GREAT BAG!!!! Built to Last!

I use this bag every day to carry all of my masonry tools, 50+ lbs. great for organization and is open all the time to quickly find the tool you need! This bag doesn’t deserve any less then a 5! My boss has the same bag and has had it for 8 years! Other then regular wear and tear it’s in good condition. Built to last!

Almost Just What I Needed

I never had anything like this before because the ones you find at the hardware store for the most part have one of two fatal flaws for me: 1, it's hard to get to most of the tools in the middle or 2, the pockets are either too few or too small. This thing is huge, it takes up more space then my 28" Stanley tool box and it actually holds more, I'm disabled from back problems and weight is an issue for me because I walk with a cane, but at the same time, I can't do stairs to keep grabbing tools I forgot or didn't know I needed. Buying this allowed me to take and put all my screwdrivers, picks, pliers, cutters a hammer, can of WD-40' my Dewalt 20v impact driver and flash light, magnetic parts tray, pipe etc. as a typical load. Working on the car? Take out some stuff, through in some sockets and a wrench wrap and you can have a whole garages on your shoulder. I knocked off a star because I would have liked to see a few different size pockets, there all basically the same size. Also, there loops on the inside, opposite the end with the tape measure clip(a fav feature)' I believe there meant for screwdrivers, and that's what I used them for, but there a little to big, and mounted to low but both these are really minor complaints and I'm just really happy to have all my commonly used tool's in one spot and have the room to through in other tools and parts and what not, I only review the stuff I buy and like, and if you need something like this, this is a real good candidate.

Decent bag, Big; deep pockets & sturdy

I'm in the HVAC field and needed a new bag for installation tools. It works, pocket will fit large straight snips, flaring block and yoke, tubing cutters, bit kits, socket sets, hammers, 3 pipewrenches, pipe wrench extensions, 2 large crescent wrenches, bar folder ect - and hasn't disintegrated yet so that's a good sign. Well balanced with a decent handle, nice outside pockets and the divider is a nice touch. I'd buy another if this one breaks. EDIT: Coming up on a year of use two of the outside pockets had a hole in the bottom that is working its way to the main pocket. I lined the pockets that ripped with sheet metal as it was because i was putting away precision screwdrivers aggressively. I wrapp-tied the bottom together and it's been fine again since. The side pocket is a good size but feels like it could use 2 of the clear sided ones, without the plastic involved. Overall still cool bag

This Tool Tote is the Best way to carry Carpentry Hand Tools. It is well made and very strong, easy to get tools in and out quickly when needed, and can nicely display them. I had a smaller version of this for several years and now I can enjoy using this one....
