Perfect “car seat coat”

We love this fleece jacket for our son. Last winter, we used it as his “car seat coat.” Since babies/toddlers aren’t supposed to wear puffy or slippery coats while buckled in their car seats (they can be ejected during a crash), we needed something thin but warm for him to wear in and out of car while running quick errands etc. and this worked perfectly. On especially cold days or if we were going to be outside for more than a minute, we would throw a warmer coat over it after getting him out of the car. I plan to buy another one in a larger size this winter and every year for the foreseeable future. The quality is so nice my younger son will get good use out of them too. Also love the green color! We got a lot of compliments on it.

Fits like 12 month / not 12-18/ love it though

this fits my 16-month-old daughter perfectly. She wears a size 12 month onesie. All other 18 month sizes are too big. So this says 12 to 18 months, but really, it is 12 months . we tried the Columbia brand 18 month size in the store and the sleeves were way too long, this one goes right to the end of her arm and fits as a 12 month size shirt. She won’t be able to wear it if she has a growth spurt but it fits perfectly for right now and right now is when we need it .

warm, safe, versatile

These are my favorite jackets for my two boys. I get them each one every winter. They keep my boys warm in Indiana winters. They fit nicely under their 'ski jackets' when the weather merits or we have a good romp in the snow. My kids stay warm to and from the car on outings and I don't worry about cold babies or car seat compression. This is the only jacket my kids wear in their seats (aside from clothing!) the make and materials are quality. Things like zippers are in great shape, even after two kids. There's a nice place to add your child's name on the inside. This particular buy of size 12-18 month was spot on! It fits my 20 lb. 1 year old a little large, just what I wanted to layer with, but not too big to be sloppy.

Cute but small

I actually bought 2 for my 16 month old b/g twins. It's technically a boy's jacket but I got a gray one for my daughter. They're small 16 month olds so I ordered size 12/18. They definitely won't get much wear out of them. Very cute and very fortunate Spring is practically here. I love Columbia but I would consider ordering a size up.

We tend to purchase a lot of Columbia jackets and fleeces and almost ALWAYS size up. In this case we purchased this fleece for my 5 month old son. He's a big kid 90% everything (head/weight/height). I purchased both the 6-12 and the 12-18 months and kept the 12-18th month. Though the 12-18 month is a bit big the size is easily manageable by rolling up the sleeves. Means I should be able to get this to last for at least another year (vs maybe a handful of months with the smaller size). We can also easily add a sweatshirt etc under the 12-18 month which we couldn't do with the 6-12m.

Great quality and fit.

Bought this for our 16 month old daughter to wear in her carseat. We got her size 12/18. She is about 23lbs and usually wears a size 12m. This was a tiny bit long in the arms and torso, but not so much that it would bother or get in the way. In fact we are glad, if gives her space to grow. Would certainly reccomend and buy again.

Great deal for Columbia!

Such a great deal for a Columbia jacket! The colors are awesome and quality is great as usual with this brand. My son is 4.5 months old but is in the 95th percentile for height so we got the 6-12 month size and it fits just right with room to grow through the coming winter.

What all jackets should be

Purchased a size up and it fit perfect. This is the best quality sweater/jacket we have bought. The whole thing is soft and there are no sharp areas or spots that could irritate the neck or face. We used it to go camping and our toddler never had a cold day or night. Love the bright color and i cant emphasize how great the quality is on this jacket. I wish all jackets were as sturdy and well made. After 6 months of use it is time for another but it looks new and maintained its size color and thickness after several washes.

Size up if you want your child to wear it for a long time!

My daughter is 27” and 17lbs, fitting in 9month clothes. I bought a 12-18 in this and it’s honestly only a little bit too big. So definitely suggest sizing up if you want it to fit for a while! Soft, warm, and cozy.
