Pheonominal pants for the price!

I love these convertible pants by Columbia. I usually like to wear the Columbia line clothing but this is the first time I have tried their pants. These things are great! At first, I was concerned they would rip or tear due to the feeling of the material but they have stood up to everything I have put them through! I hike a lot and so I purchased several pairs of these since they were remarkably priced (around $10.00 a pair) and I will tell you this now with confidence. You will not find any pair of hiking (or any type pants) better than these at this price! I don't know if I would pay the marked price of $60.00 but then again, I wouldn't spend that much on any pair of pants! I am a thrifty shopper and don't have a problem with it! These are extremely comfortable. Sometimes I feel like I'm not wearing any pants. Basically, these feel like they are made of the same material that shoots are made of for parashoots. I haven't taken the legs off yet but I have tested the zipper and it seems smooth and easy to use. These also have a belt that comes with it which is a nice extra. Its not a phenomenal belt but its decent. It does what its supposed to do and that's hold your pants up. Overall, I highly recommend these! Especially if your able to get it at a great price like I did. I even ordered some more since they were phenomenally priced!

Great for fishing

Good deal on sale. Good for fishing when temperatures and/or sun change during the day. Dries quickly. Comfortable. Only issue is some of the pockets have a very small Velcro fastener-should be bigger & more secure.

Great pair of pants for hot weather and walking

Spent two weeks walking around China with my 9 year old son. These guided tours included hundreds of flights of Fitbit-measured stairs, and many many miles of walking. These were my favorite pants on the entire trip. They are also the first pair of convertible pants I've owned. I will be buying more pairs of these. Some great features... o Fit about as I expected, or maybe just a little to the small side of 38". (...though I am smaller now from all that walking!) o The shorts were very comfortable and dried quickly when damp. o Felled seams cover the zipper on both sides, so no chafing or rubbing your skin the wrong way. Doesn't catch on stuff while brushing past. o Full-length pants or shorts felt much cooler than my customary jeans and cargo shorts. o Washed out in the sink each night, they dried quickly by morning when spread over a hanger, so the odd spill needn't relegate them to the dirty clothes bag! o Cargo pocket has velcro on one side and zipper on the other - I had to concerns about my wallet's safety in the zippered side. I will be buying two more pair when colors I want are available!

good quality for price

nice lightweight material, zippers on the pant legs work properly. fit true to size. great idea for being outdoors and need to adjust clothing in accordance with weather.

Lightweight and cool

Perfect for vacation where the weather was cooler in the mornings and hotter in the afternoon. Super lightweight for packing. Only ones long enough to fit my 6'5" tall husband.

I swear, Columbia doesn't know how the main front pockets are supposed to work.

Convertible pants are great for fishing and hiking. Sealed cargo pockets on the sides and back are fantastic! The front pockets are poorly designed. They should be deeper and not nearly as open as they are. A jean design pocket would work really well, but they have these shallow pockets that swoop a couple of inches away from your front belt loops to about your hip joint and will allow things like coins and Chap Stick to slide out while you're driving your car or just moving about minimally, while seated. It's a horrible design flaw and they've got it in a lot of their pants and shorts. I'd rather have pockets that retain their contents than look fashionable. Since they've got so many other fantastic pockets, it makes me wonder why they even designed these at all.

Sizing only negative

This is my second pair of these pants so I must like them. They are light and comfortable, fast drying and great for travel. If there was a couple of more zippered pockets they'd be even better. The problem I have, and it turns out it's a big one for me, is the sizing. I run around a 32 depending on the pants. Sometimes that's too big and other times it's perfect. On these pants it's snug and if my weight moves up a little, the front button is being stretched. So I thought I'd get the next size up on my next pair. Turns out, the next size up is 34 and even with the elastic waist, they're basically falling off. If I tighten the thin belt I end up with the belt around my waist and the front sagging below. Not having 33 waist really sucks. My point is, there is a chance, maybe 50/50, that you're going to end up with a pair that just will not fit and you won't have a viable option that will. That's too bad. Maybe if they added more stretch on the waist, they could compensate for the lack of size options but as it is, I'm not sure I can even wear this new pair.

Pantalones muy cómodos

Estan super cómodos, el material muy resistente y seca de inmediato, la talla un poco más amplia de lo normal, recomiendo pedir una talla menos, yo soy 36 y me quedo algo grande, el 34 hubiera estado bien. Lo recomiendo.

Calidad insuperable de Columbia, es el tercer pantalon que compro y no hay ninguna queja a respecto, el pantalon calzo y ajusto tal como lo pedi, el color muy bonito, ampliamente recomendable, sin duda volvere a comprar

No son flexibles

Son frescos, y en la cintura son muy cómodos tienen una tela muy cómoda, pero son pantalones para actividades al aire libre y la tela no se estira por eso 3 estrellas pero todo lo demás esta muy bien

Cómodos y ligeros

me gustaron, el color está bonito aunque en la página se ve raro, lo único que no está decente es el cinturón que tiene que es muy delgado, pero se resuelve ocupando algun otro de tu agrado.
