Ignore the bad reviews............. this machine WORKS !!!

Got mine installed and did not have the hinge rear to drop access to the wire hookup area. Simple install to the garage ceiling with a pilot hole for a 2" long, 1/4 in width wood hex head with nice big flat washers to support the single center attachment point to the garage ceiling. Ezy pzy and plenty secure. I wanted to be able to turn the fan direction if wanted. Ran 10 ga 2 wire with ground to it from the QUALITY dryer plug bought here at the Zon, and wired the unit. I set on heat level #2 and turned it on. Excellent HOT heat coming out, and 12 feet away the fan is clearly doing it's job. The fan power is fine, the heat is HOT just set on 2, and the only potential drawback for some is the thermostat is not as accurate in function as your whole house furnace is. Who cares? Most are using this for a garage or shop, and some don't want those to drop under freezing when unattended and unused. I set up a remote temp sensor and in a 12 x 25 ft garage, in Omaha NE and if you want to keep your garage above freezing, this unit can do that. Really, it can do that not working very hard. I was thinking this was a big toy, might help a little or might not. I was wrong. This is a serious tool, well made, works, hot heat and fan plenty strong - and all at $109? Are you kidding me?? Can see other uses for this heater, too. This is NOT a toy, works, HOT heat, good fan, makes a bit of mild fan noise but WHO CARES? You sleeping in your garage? I got the ex warranty so if this goes South I'm covered, but by any account this is a nice unit, works, built solidly and if you do your own wiring be SAFE and be SURE to use a GOOD dryer plug with a lot of surface contact to your 10 ga wire. Critical. Tight and solid good connections is important. Get your gas cans out of your garage and into the shed. Read directions and adhere to them. They're there for a reason. My garage ceiling is only 7" but I attached this as high as I could right to the ceiling joists, center factory attachment point with big flat washers to help support. VERY impressive heater at this price point!!! Nice. My only nitpick is they should have made the ground attachment point the same as the two positives, with easy secure attachment. I used the extra wide wire crimper tool to secure a yellow 10ga wire loop to the end of the ground wire, then attached that to the ground point on the unit where they supplied the hex head bolt attachment. Works fine. Just UN-necessary and their trying to maximize profit by saving a buck a copy. No bid deal. GOOD UNIT. PS: The Zon 10 ga 2 wire and one ground wire pricing was way better than the big store big name hardware stores here!!

Worked perfect for my needs

In Central CA, temp gets down to the 40's, sometimes in the 30's. I needed to keep my garage above 70 for 3 days for an epoxy table project and the garage (22x35x8' tall) was in the mid 50's. After reading mixed reviews, I decided to give it a try, since $108 and free returns seems like a good deal. I've been very impressed! I hung it from the ceiling in the middle of the garage and it took it from mid 50's to 68 degrees in two hours. The thermostat works great and kept an even temperature for days. I gave it a 4 star because I wish it had a digital thermostat, it took a few adjustments to get it right but it's an easy thing to figure out. Love everything else about it.

Works great in smaller spaces

I ordered this to put in a two car garage while I was working on insulating. It was delivered quickly and with no damage and packaged well. Assembly only took a few minutes and we were up and running. This heater gets hot but it seems like it takes a while for the blower fan to distribute any of that heat. And it definitely works better in small spaces unless you’ve had it on for a little while. It will eventually heat up overall, I’m satisfied with this heater as I mounted it in a space close to my workbench. If you’re expecting gale, force winds, you may want to look somewhere else also make sure you have a dedicated plug with the correct breaker.

Small heats up 2 car garage quick. Temp. 45 outside 70 inside set low can go higher. I would buy another of this model.

Hope second purchase is a charm

I bought this the first time and it looks like I had a dud. Nothing worked. I then reached out to the seller and explained the issue and instead of offering any help, They just shipped a new one! Which I am not complaining about! So...I get the new one installed and it heated my very large (uninsulated) garage up to 60 degrees in about an hour! This is in mid-winter in New England so around 20-30 degree weather. This heater does the job! The machine was used for about 3 separate days with great results. The 4th day I fired it up and it would heat up and shut down. I tried multiple times with the same result. I took it down from the mount and it seems the fan died. I contacted the company again and asked for some help. I never received a reply after about a month, so I broke down and re-ordered another. I'll come back after I install it and update my results.

CCC Comfort Zone, Easy install

CCC Comfort Zone, I was surprised by the quality of this product for such a low price. It is certainly of industrial quality. Before buying, I read all the reviews for this unit and one thing that came out a lot was that the unit often came with loose parts so before installing it I verified that all bolts and nuts were tight. Although mine seemed ok but didn't want to take a chance. This unit has a local thermostat but it is not very practical when the unit is 8 feet up. Therefore I bought an Aube RC840T-240 On/Off Switching Electric Heating Relay with Built-in 24 V that fit perfectly inside the unit so I could use my existing low voltage thermostat. I've been running it in my garage since the second week of September and it rocks ;-)

Good heater for the price

This heater is really good so far my shop is 16x24 heats it up nice can work in a tshirt in -5 weather pretty impressed and was easy to hook up and fan is quiet ????????????

Effecient for 600 square feet

The heater could be installed by one person (celling) without too much problem if you're prepared adequately; but easier to installed if you are 2. I installed a 40A breaker with #10 gage to run the unit at 5KW on 240V. I have aroud 600 square feet to heat and walls are not very well isolated. we didn't get cold temperature yet, (maybe -10C) for few hours/days (expecting -25C in few weeks); but the temperautre was keeped around 20C. Technically i should add another heater since in theory it's 1KW per 100 square feet. The design could be better by adding another thermal sensor to control the fan. currently the fan start/stop with the heating element. the issue (from my perspective) is the fan should continu to work for 2-3 mins after the heating elements has stopped to avoid the device to heat it self. So adding an aditional sensor to the fan & a switch to put fan always on or automatic could be a very good improvment and would not add too much cost to the device (at least for the supplier).
