I was warned!

With a lot of small electrics such as coffee maker, heater, dehumidifier, etc., on the boat, I was warned about plugging in an outdoor electric grill on top of everything else. Yup, too much juice. There is a West Marine just minutes from the house but thought I'd check Amazon. This is just what I needed to connect directly from the dock, at a decent price. Very pleased. Let the BBQ begin!

Well worth it

Needed a connection to dockside power to hook up an extension cord and this did the trick compared to power cords 10X the price of this

Comparatively affordable and compact solution

Once or twice a year I visit a marina where the shore power plug is at the head of the pier, about 10' past the reach of my 30 amp power cord. This lets me use a regular extension cord to extend the reach and get power for my light power load -- a couple of house lights and the charger to keep the batteries topped off. For that problem, it's a successful solution. (Yes, I have a 30 amp female to 15/30 amp male adapter on the other end of my extension cord that connects to the just-a-little-too-short 30 amp power cord coming off the boat).

The affordable solution

All I wanted to do was use my shore power cord to run an electric drill. The adapters for this run anywhere from $50 to $100. I thought that was outrageous. I found this one on Amazon for about $25, then noticed they had one in the discount section for $7. I snatched it up. This is a bargain even at $25, as it is half the price of any other "marine" rated adapter. This plugs into the end of my 30 amp shore power cord and allows me to plug in a standard 110 volt power cord. I have used it once, and it seems to work just fine.

Excellent quality

As advertised. Very robust. I live on my houseboat in a marina and keep 3 on hand at all times for transients. They don't always have the right stuff for power. I usually (if they are nice) give it away as a parting gift. Cool to have on-board at all times.

Perfect plug for my generator.

The plug was a perfect fit for my generator in order to be able to plug in a regular extension cord.

Works as intended. The contact blades are a bit too soft. One has to be careful not to bend them as they may break.

Perfect fit for boat power shore AND 15

Perfect fit to the power shore for my sailboat, allowing to charge battery, use power tools etc. and just with a regular 15A power cord extention from the shore to the boat.
