What a great idea

I love this. This was a fantastic idea. Well, second only to a good recipe for a marinade. And there are websites where others are talking about dehydrating and what they are doing with it. I am a single person and I need good ways to preserve my food so it doesn't spoil. This is an excellent investment and it is very much worth it. Apples, oranges, bananas, pink salmon, it's all good. Every one that loves to cook should have one on these. I only wish they would have sold me a cookbook with it.

I am very impressed with this dehydrator

I bought this mainly to make jerky, and for that, it is a great unit. The inclusion of a temperature setting makes it seem a lot more premium than the standard "all or nothing" dehydrators that I have used in the past. I have made 4 or 5 batches of jerky so far, and I do not see anything with the unit that I would want improved. The racks aren't super easy to clean, but that is just the nature of the beast. Marinade is getting cooked onto the plastic for 6 hours, so soak the racks in some hot soapy water for 10 minutes before scrubbing them off.

Cost effective product

I previously bought another calorie food drier for my daughter and thought I was buying the same item again. This one is not quite as effective as the other and does not seem as robust, but it still does the job. At first I thought that the bigger diameter of the other machine was better, but it turns out that the drying area is about the same. Supplies on the other machine stored nicely at 145 degrees but with this one we discovered that it needs to be closer to 150 to achieve the same effect in the same amount of time. Great price, though

works well, digital, quiet

I hope this one lasts longer than my last dehydrator. So far it runs quietly and the digital temp/timer is easy to set. My only complaint at this point is that the trays are not very deep for drying larger items, like mushrooms. I solved the problem by cutting the grid out of one tray, and I might do another like that also because being limited to drying things that are less than about 3/4" thick keeps the trays or lid from settling down properly. Did I mention that it's quiet? So much nicer than my old Nesco that sounded like a bus idling in my house.

My Beloved Loves iT!

We have a lot of fruit from the yard and Beloved mentioned back in January that a dehydrator would be nice. I ordered one for Valentines and she loves it> Getting a lot of use with oranges which are fantastic when dried. Great product.

No Customer Support

Used one time. Worked perfectly. Looks like a well-designed, well-constructed product. I had a question. I called the number THEY PROVIDED ON THE ENCLOSED MATERIALS and they had the nerve to state, on a recording, that no one is available to answer a question. Someone finally called me back, but I had to search for the answer -- wasting my time -- a lot.

Great dehydrater.

Very easy to use. Controls take a bit of practice, but increasing and decreasing temperature and time provide lots of options. Noise level is equivalent to a small fan. No problem. Easy clean. Just submerge in hot soapy water. Rinse and air dry. Easy Peary.
