Less mess than markers w/out losing color

I didn't know dry erase crayons existed until my husband saw these on Amazon, but we trusted the brand name. So, we tried them for a road trip. I was not looking forward to dry erase markers in my car with a 2 & 3 year old, but these were perfect. They make vibrant color markings on the dry erase board without getting marker all over my kids. They wipe clean which is also good because I didn't think of how easy it would be for the kids to color on the rear passenger windows. ????

Very disappointed

I liked the idea of these for my 3 year old so she could use dry erase board without risking her using markers and her marking up my furniture. I was very disappointed in these though especially for a crayola brand, they colors are very faint and do not show up well unless you have a very strong hand like an adult and can press down hard but even then it doesn’t work well. It was pointless for my 3 year old because she got frustrated when she was not seeing anything after drawing and stopped using them after the first time.

My 2 year old loves to color with these.

My son loves to color with these. Brilliant color. They are hard to wipe off if you don't use a white board cleaner. With a cleaner my 2 year old can wipe it off.

These are crayons, not white board markers/crayons.

When I bought these, I was expecting to get a crayon that wrote on a dry-erase board somewhat equivalently to a dry-erase marker. They do not! The marking is exactly what you would expect if you took a normal crayon and wrote on the board. Cleaning off the marking requires the use of a cloth (one is included) rather than a dry-erase eraser because you need friction to break the crayon marks free. With a cloth, however, the marks DO come completely off the surface. I am fairly certain that there is little to no difference between these "Dry-erase crayons" and any standard crayon other than size. They were cute for a gag, but they are far from functional!

A few colours are too bright to be used on white boards.

Took a star off simply because some of the colours are too bright to be seen on a white dry erase board. I assume they'd be fine on a black one. That said, the sharpener is a nice touch and it wipes off very easily with the included cloth. I wish the doodle boards I got my nieces last Christmas had come with one. I went with crayons over markers because my board is a combo is in my bedroom and I didn't want to have to worry about unpleasant fumes.
