Had everything needed
Trailer wiring for my vehicle

Great product but a redisign would be good
Perfect fit for the transit connect van..the panel version work van. The good. 1-connectors fit perfectly 2-sturdy wire thickness 3-instruction well laid out and easy to understand The needs 1-redesign would make install time 10mins 2-install calls for box to be installed on driver's side. If they extended the driver side plug to the length of the other you could have a simpler install. 12v hot wire is located on the passenger side behind the panel. Ground terminal uses a 10mm socket head and is also located on the passenger side. The best feature by this redisign is that you also have a rubber grommet on the passenger side that you can use to route the trailer harness thru avoiding any potential contact with the exhaust system.

How do I fairly review this?
I ordered the kit for a 2015 Transit Connect, which is what I have. My Transit Connect did NOT have the connectors this kit was supposed to break into. I wound up using the kit in a manner that probably voids any warranty the kit may have had, but still worked. As stated there was not a harness junction in the back of my van as the instructions demonstrated in both text and pictures. I located quite a few other unrelated wire harnesses, but none for the lights. I decided to just cut the harness connectors off of the kit and do some good old fashioned wiring the hard way, made easier using Wago lever-nuts. Ford did NOT leave much slack in the wires at all and they were ALL black, of a very narrow gauge. 20ish AWG, maybe 22 for the most part, save for the "big" negative which was a simple step up. The gauge of these wires reassured me that buying this kit was the right idea, I wouldn't want to run old school incandescents on them. I gave my van a good look over and determined the instructions sucked. On the passenger side is a fuse and relay box with lots of handy connections AND a rubber stopper that drops out of the body to the outside of the vehicle. The drivers side did NOT have either. Instead of running a wire all the way to my battery I tied into power using an unused relay slot in the power by crimping a lug onto the nice supplied fuse wire. I used the supplied ring lug and screw to connect to body/-. I figured out what each of the harness side wires did the hard way, I then switched the L/R blinkers on the output side since I put the relay assembly on the passenger side. I fault Ford for not having the harness to splice into and leaving the wires on the inside of the gasket to the lights so short. My guess is 95% of these kits are sold to people with the cargo model. I have the wagon and it was probably built a bit differently in that respect. I fault CURT for not putting a note about the wagon model. I also fault CURT for building this thing for driver side install. I don't know about the cargo model, but that rubber stopper being on the passenger side and having a relay box for power instead of straight to the battery simplified my installation significantly over what the instruction manual suggested. I'm not really sure HOW I would have dropped the trailer connector wires out of the driver side. Again, the cargo model may have had the hole, but I doubt the cargo model moved the fuse/relay box to the driver side. I fault FORD for making the wires all black and not wiring them the same on both sides, after determining which wire was blinker + on the driver side I tried to verify it was the same position on the pass-through on the passenger side. Not even close. In the end, it's good hardware that works. It just doesn't work by following the supplied instructions in my case, and even accounting for the "my van is a little different" part there's still and easier way to do it.

Easley add trailer lights.
Easy hook up. But have to run power to start battery. That was harder

Not so easy
To be fair, once it was installed, it worked perfectly. My issue was with thie following paragraph in the description: "EASY TO INSTALL. No cutting! No splicing! This trailer wiring harness plugs into existing factory wiring on your vehicle and equips it with a standard 4-pin trailer wiring connector for plugging in and towing a trailer." If you read the description, it would seem like you just unplug the connectors going to the tail lights, insert the the connectors in between and you'll be golden. I was installing on a Ford Transit Connect. The connectors in question are not easy to reach (or even see for that matter). There did not seem to be any slack once I managed to contort my arm into the tiny space to be able to touch it. Eventually, I pulled hard enough on the vehicle's wiring harness and managed to get enough slack to insert the trailer wiring harness connectors. The passenger side went easier because I knew I could pull hard enough to get slack. Feeling proud of myself, I read the next step of the installation instructions. I needed to run a cable from the battery to they new wiring harness module. I looked for a closer source for the 12v, but finally resolved to just run it from the battery like the instructions say. They send a connector for a battery post that needs to be crimped to the wire. Once I managed to get the wire under the vehicle, I still had to route the cable to be secure and out of the way. After crawling around under the vehicle, I finally reached the area under the new harness module. The instructions say to splice in the fuse holder and then splice it to the harness control module. Unfortunately, there are not any access holes to route the cable through to the cargo area. It was late and I had already spent considerable time trying to get my "Easy to Install" finished, so I ended up splicing a five foot wire to extend the cable around the bumper and into the cargo area. Eventually, I'll go back and drill a hole to connect it directly. Fortunately, it worked perfectly once I connected the trailer. It does work great and actually is customized to my vehicle. Easy to Install? Not so much. Is there splicing? Yes. Do you need to run a power cable? Yes.

A Pain, But Works (2019 Ford Transit Connect)
BE SURE TO WATCH THE ETRAILER YOUTUBE VIDEO FIRST. I looked at several wiring solutions (three companies), but each required running a hot wire, back to front and hooked to the battery. It took me four hours, but a second set of hands would have reduced that by at least an hour. I also changed the routing of my hot wire a couple times. The only remaining issue is the floor grommet (plug). The video shows a rubber grommet. Well, mine was plastic and broke into pieces, so now I have to search for a replacement. The passenger side rear wheel hub has a rubber grommet, the exact size needed. The Ford parts department ordered them for me (pack of 4 for $10).

Item works fine, was not delivered with all the parts
I bought this re-packaged from Amazon, came missing some components which I had to buy and use for the installation. After installation works as expected.
