Used on a ceiling tile
I used the product to coat a ceiling tile before I painted it with watercolor. Worked great. The surface is harder than paper but the paint mixes well on it and I’ll be using again. After the paint dried totally I coated the painting with Krylon UV resistant clear coat.

Helps correct watercolor mistakes also
I read a lot of reviews before I ordered this and none mentioned using this to correct watercolor mistakes so I was nervous to try it. I received it in the mail today and I could not be more pleased with this! I painted it over the whole center of what will be my cousins wedding invitations and I cant see any difference between the area I painted the ground onto and the rest of the paper. I had to try and lift what I could of the paint first or it would start to mix with the ground while I worked it over the area but that's to be expected with watercolor. It took 2 layers to completely cover the paint underneath but I did put thin layers so it wasnt too bulky and blended with my paper, however, it will go on quite thick if you want it to or even thinner if you add some water. It does feel slightly different than the paper when its dry but if you lightly sand over it it smooths out nicely or you can leave it rough which would feel like rough paper or sand a touch for a cold pressed feel. I'm super impressed at how well this works and I will have this added permanently to my collection now

Not sure why the container was almost half empty.
The product was good just wished I received the 16 oz I paid for. I will try another brand.

Game changer!
I bought this to use on wood cutouts for my craft projects. It lets me get much more artistic effects than is easily obtainable with acrylic paint. As a bonus, it's a great prep for distress ink on non-traditional surfaces. I've used more than 3/4 of one jar and will be ordering more soon.

Love the watercolor ground .
Love it so far. On canvas it is great. Also covered old painting on 300 lb watercolor paper and love it. Also put it on glass jar. Very cool. I will seal it after painting. Now I will try it on wood. So many possibilities.

Watercolor Ground
As a watercolorist, this is by far one of the greatest things I have ever stumbled across. I enjoy the freedom this product gives me, to paint with watercolors on any surface I choose. Basically, it's a watercolor gesso, for people who don't know what this product does. When applying it, use a gesso brush or an old wash brush, and apply 2-3 coats. It takes 24-72 hours to fully set, and once it's dry, I recommend sanding down the top layer to eliminate the brushstrokes from applying it. (Or use a palette knife while the ground is still wet.) It might be a bit expensive, but it is *so* worth the money spent. And if you use it wisely, it lasts for a long time. It's good for covering up mistakes in a painting to rework them, too. On Amazon, the pint comes in Titanium White. If you purchase from the manufacturer's site, you can choose from Titanium White, Beige, and Mars Black. (They also have a 4-oz transparent watercolor ground, too.)

Didn't cover gold ink mark. Wouldn't recommend
Didn't live up to the hype. You almost have to sand your paper afterward
