Strong, buy flakes

Strong hold, doesn't have an overwhelming chemical smell. Dries really fast. It does flake after a while but overall is a good product

No substitute!

The salon where I get my curly hair cut uses Davines products and while I have always loved how my hair smells and is styled there, I never wanted to shell out for a higher-end product at home. I went through several drugstore gels: Garnier curl sculpting cream weighed my hair down, Curls botanical gel didn't have nearly enough hold, etc. I finally bought the Davines cream gel (sold for less than retail on Amazon, at least) and oh my goodness, what a difference. - I don't have to use nearly as much as I did with other gels--I scrunch mousse and gel into my hair when still sopping wet, so I use more gel at a time than some (since it gets diluted and some drips out during scrunching), but I only need about a quarter-size dollop of Davines for my thick, shoulder-length curls. - It holds super well. It really helps my curls keep their shape and not get fuzzy, as my hair is prone to do. - For those saying it's too sticky and crunchy: It really helps to have your hair very wet when you apply it, because I could see how the stickiness might be difficult to work with otherwise. As for crunchiness, once it's dry, I just scrunch it again and this helps to take away the stiffness, but magically the style still holds. - It also helps my hair dry much faster (air dry or diffuser)! Since I only wash my hair every 2-3 days, one bottle actually lasts me quite a long time, so it's completely worth it. In between washes, I use Davines This Is a Sea Salt Spray to refresh and rescrunch. (You could probably use any salt spray or maybe leave-in conditioner, possibly even water--but the Davines spray smells AMAZING.)

Careful! A LITTLE BIT of this stuff goes a long way!!!

I have very sensitive skin (including my scalp), so I've only been buying fragrance-free hair products (I also get migraines, and then ALL fragrances bother me). The styling gels that I have tried through the years have been a very, very light hold. The hair spray I use does not irritate my scalp, but I have to "layer" it in order to get enough hold. So, in desperation I tried this stuff. Since I'm accustomed to using the light hold products, I applied the amount that I've been using, and it was much too much - my hair felt GLUED! I almost got back in the shower to rinse it out, but didn't really have time for that - so I removed as much as I could with a wet hair brush and soft paper towels. Since my skin has gotten drier as I've aged, I only wash my hair every 3 days or so; every night when I combed out my hair, I had to wet a wide-tooth comb in order to get it through my hair! This stuff does seem to be fragrance-free and non-irritating, but if I use it again, I'll definitely put on a much smaller amount (I used my old fragrance-free gel the one time that I've washed my hair since then, because I was familiar with what effect it would have).

Strong But Sticky and Leaves Buildup

This is definitely a strong hold gel/cream. However, it is sticky and leaves a buildup. It also makes my hair shed more than other gels or creams

my old wax was very hard to wash out. however this holds strong and is very easy to wash out and smells great. kinda pricy but worth it already on the second one.

i really like this product. maybe it’s the packaging that i enjoy most, but the product works well. for a truly strong hold, you need to use a lot of product, and for a super strong hold, you’ll need to top it off with hairspray. overall, i’m happy with it!

SUPER SUPER STRONG HOLD

I personally should have read that this gel holds a very VERY strong hold. It’s not smooth enough to run through your hair. I’d suggest this product to someone with a pixie cut but not for anyone with longer hair; unless you want it super slick.

Desde que abrí el embalaje desprendió un aroma riquísimo , producto 100% original . Yo lo use para poner un poco en la parte de enfrente donde se nota el crecimiento del cabello y da un aspecto seco ,no de un gel convencional que pone tieso el cabello . Necesitas muy poco producto y te queda oliendo muy delicioso el cabello. Lo volvería a comprar sin duda

Ottimo gel!!!

Di solito usavo il gel e, per fissare in modo più deciso, aggiungevo un po' di lacca. Oppure gel "extra strong" con l'inconveniente che i capelli sembravano aghi... Con questo gel i miei capelli fini rimangono "pettinati" anche il giorno dopo e soprattutto sono morbidi al tatto con in più l'effetto bagnato.

Great hair product

This hairgel is awesome! Bought for my mom who has a short modern Mohawk. its a great product for a piecey look and lasts all day. She loves it and uses it all the time. Not many local stores sell it so its nice to find it online!
