Look great with Poplar wood

We needed registers for vents in our family room that has a poplar wood ceiling. These look great!

High profile wooden grate

From the side this grate protrudes upward almost an inch. This is okay for out of way places but not for anywhere “traveled”. They do look better on our wood floor than the ugly, but flat, white metal grates.

They are not flat to the floor. There is an edge I consider to be stylish, but not really practical for the vacuum or the floor cleaner. In my opinion, if you have to have a grate in your floor to get heat, you might as well make it look good! These are pretty on a wood floor

Worked perfectly

Have a > 100 year old house. The old grate was a wreck. Found this one and it worked perfectly and looks good on the hard wood floor.

Easy To Install But Too Dark In Stain

I really like this product - looks nice, easy to install without tools, and opens/closes nicely. Only complaint is the "natural oak" color is much darker than my "natural oak" floor and this particular vent is in too visible of a location to not match better. Beware of the color of this product relative to your floor, but if they match, you won't be disappointed in this product!

Nice facelift for my home

These registers look much nicer than the standard brown ones that came with my home. They are a little lighter than pictured in the listing, but they still go nicely with my flooring. The one thing that needs improvement is the damper control. It is easily adjustable, and the lever control sticks out slightly. I have found the dampers closed or partially closed after the Roomba cleaned. To solve this, I zip tied the dampers in the open position. All of my registers are return and supply vents for the first floor, so I want them open at all times anyway.

Happy with 3 of 4

Of the four I ordered three were identical - perfect for what I wanted as I intend to stain them. The fourth had staples not screws, and had a clear coat on it which I had to sand off in order to stain.

Poor quality

The 4 tiny wood screws that faster the wood to the plastic fell out on both registers I bought. Then when trying to screw back in it stripped the wooden holes (even when being gentle). Right now the wood registers are sitting on top of my vents while I try to figure out how to re-attach them to the cheap plastic pieces. I’m thinking a heat resistant type of caulk or maybe staples. Only reason I’ve kept them is I already stained them to match our new hardwood. Cheaply made. Giving it two stairs because the oak part of the registers are actually pretty nice and I got them right away.
