Fits well
Ordered this when replacing the two handle shower valve with the single hole valve. It encompasses the two existing holes and allows a center hole large enough for the plumber to install the new valve from the shower side of the wall, sparing me a hole in my bedroom wall. Looks nice with the new handle.

Did the job
Looks great (not cheap nor flimsy) and covered a spot on the shower wall that wasn’t covered by the shower handle plate. Fit perfectly with my new Delta trim kit. Used silicone to attach it to the shower wall and also placed 2 small stainless steel screws with nuts into the 2 screw holes before attaching it to the shower wall.

Works reasonably well. Chrome colored plastic, not metal.
This works pretty well to cover the holes left in the wall when changing from a 3-handle tub or shower faucet to a modern single handle faucet. It’s chrome-colored plastic, and it’s fairly sturdy for being plastic. The method by which it’s anchored to the existing wall can be a bit tricky to make work well, especially if you have tile on top of a thick mud job. The design of it flows well with most current round faucet trim kits. It won’t work with most trim kits that have rectangular back plates, though. I find it difficult to have enough room to work to replace a tub/shower valve with just the cutout in the wall this provides. I would recommend cutting an access hole in the wall behind the tub/shower if at all possible so you can work from behind.

PLASTIC. Be peprared to cut mounting bolts before you put any silicone on this !
Covered old faucet holes with some work. Be prepared to cut the mounting bolts before using. Think about it...The mounting holes are horizontal and the Delta faucet base plumbing is horizontal (and some vertical). The mounting bolts really should be 4 bolts at 45 degrees to miss all plumbing from the valve. This IS PLASTIC, chrome finish.

No silicone required
I like that this plate has a foam strip on the back and silicone is not required to seal it to the wall and that makes it easier to install The plastic wall retainer bars do not inspire confidence but seems to work ok. the chrome finish on the plastic plate looks good and makes the part look like a metal part. Fits and blends perfectly around Peerless and Delta T&S valves. Allowed for a no tile replacement installation, saving a lot of time and effort.

Great for hiding mistakes in your shower close to your shower handle!
Originally planned on having two knobs for hot and cold water so there are two holes drilled out in my shower. Changed our minds later and needed a way to cover them - used this in conjunction with a single handle shower faucet with in front of it. Seals well, hides the holes, and looks great!
