Painting Needs Work!

Statue itself was fine, but the painting and face painting in particular was terrible...sloppy and looked grotesque. It made the lovely face structure look scary. I was really disappointed.

Very Disappointing!!!

I ordered this as a birthday present for myself and was excited about receiving it. The statue was such a dissapointment. Paint on the face was missing and and black spots are all over it. I am going to paint it myself to try to fix it.

Precious Angel!

What a beautiful piece! The pose, the sculptural details and the soft colors really make this angel stand out in my flower garden.

Large and presentable

I wanted a lawn ornament that is large enough to not be hidden by tall grass and would be appropriate for decoration. I have seen a lot of similar items but they were very exotic and too much for our family with three small children. It does not visually take away from our flowers nearby but it is pretty enough on its own. It appears to be made from resin and is fragile, but appears to be well made and durable to be moved without worry of a wing breaking off. The painting is good but it is not high quality in the manner of looking realistic. I do not feel that it would be nice enough to display inside the home, but then again it is sold as a lawn ornament. For outside use and the weathering it is going to receive it is just fine. The most amazing aspect of this statue is the wings. They are beautiful, intricate, and my favorite part of the sculpture. I feel like it gives a calming presence as you enter our yard and I have chosen it to guard our front rose bush, so she can bless our guests as they enter the home. In her basket she is holding bunnies. I deducted a star because the value seems high considering the paint detail and it’s light weight, but it could be advantageous as it is easy to move when mowing or redecorating. Overall, I would purchase other items from this company as they put great detail in the design of the product. *The statue is about two feet high *The colors are not bright; more pastel *It is highly detailed in the design

Very pleasantly surprised!

Based on a couple of negative reviews, I was not expective to be so pleased; but I am! I was quite surprised at how lovely this is, how well-done it is, and what an impression it makes! It looks amazing in our garden. Such a beautiful piece!!

Mom Approves!

This statue received so many poor reviews regarding the paint job that I was nervous when I gave it to my mother as a gift for Mother's Day. My mom loves gardens and angels so this seemed like the perfect gift. My fears were unfounded. The angel is looking over one shoulder and upwards. This is a large statue that rewards the viewer with little details like the two bunny rabbits in her basket (that on first glance I took for flowers). The paint job was fine. If anything, the concern is that the statue looks so good that we're afraid it might not hold up to the weather. She almost looks TOO good for a lawn ornament -- my mom gives it five stars!

The statue that we received was perfect and beautiful.

Shame that some people did not get this statue in the condition we received it because it is just beautiful. The paint and coloring is perfect. The details are just outstanding. It is not a lightweight foam statue but made out of resin which gives it some weight so it won't be blown over by the wind. This would look so beautiful in anyone's garden.

Very serene, beautifully detailed.

Very nice figurine, good detail. Wasn't keen on the outdoors distressed patina look, didn't think it suited her so I done a touch up. Beautiful serene figure. Recommended.

This a good product with lot of details and colors

This a good product with lot of details and colors. I have put them in my garden as a centre piece mounted on a tree stump that I got from my neighbor. A LED spotlight keeps it lit all through the night. I am very happy with the purchase.

Nicely designed statue but the colouration may not be to everyone's taste

What’s good: Decent design and manufacture quality Not too heavy so can be easily moved What’s not so good: Colouration may not be to everyone’s taste Whilst there are other designs in the ‘Design Toscano’ range of outdoor statues that I might have felt were more my style, I was nevertheless pleased to receive this statue of ‘Joy, the Flower Angel’. The sinister part of me had immediate recollection of the episode of Dr Who where the angel statues would move whenever nobody was looking, so since receiving the statue I have playfully been moving it on a daily basis. The statue is about 2 feet tall and sits relatively stably. The colouration is perhaps what makes this range of statues more distinct, as very often statues from other manufacturers that I’d recognise in my local garden centre would typically be left in either a natural stone colour, or be some other singular tone like a deep red, or a dark grey. If I’m being totally honest with you, I think I’d have preferred it to have not been painted at all as I think it would have looked a darn sight more classy, not to mention it would blend in better and been allowed to weather and moss-over in a more natural configuration. Each to their own though. The statue isn’t lightweight, but neither does it weigh a tonne, so it’s easily maneuverable but shouldn’t blow over in strong wind. I have mine generally positioned in semi-concealed locations, amongst shrubbery and planting, as I think the style of it would be a bit much in total isolation (especially considering the love-it-or-loathe-it colouration). Price-wise, garden statues of this sort of size do vary in price somewhat. I’ve seen some from other brands priced between £90-£150 in my local garden centre, so for a price of £115 (at time of review) that is fairly middling. I don’t think I would personally pay that kind of price for this, but then that’s just me.

This had the potential to be so beautiful. In fact I really was not sure to give 4 or 3 stars. The positives are is the actual casting is lovely the dress falls with realistic folds the little rabbits in the basket are so sweet. But the face is horrible the painting of it just gives it a scary evil look. Just not nice I can't understand why when so much care has been taken to make this statue but as I looked at its face it gave me the creeps. I was lucky enough not to pay for it but I can honestly say I would be sending it back if I had , instead it is standing on my roof terrace like some spooky child.

Lovely garden ornament

Beautiful, hand painted garden orniment that looks absolutely superb. Very heavy so not likely to blow over and break. Quite tall too at about 3 feet high. Looks fabulous in my garden.
