Great heater except

This is a great heater 8/10. Got one cycle out of it before it quit. Diagnosed as a bad tip over switch. Cheap fix and sold on Amazom. Hope this helps someone.

Better be a calm day

The heater is hard to light. You have to hold down the pilot light button/knob for sometimes a minute or it will immediately go out. Additionally, the heater works well once you light it...as long as there is not a breath of wind. A mere 2-3 mph light breeze will blow it out. On a day with 5 mph winds, you might as well not even try to use it. Finally, if you expect a significant difference between the lowest and highest heat settings, let me disabuse you of that. They are identical. I couldn't tell a bit of difference between low and high as far as flame and heat output. Again, if you live in a place with zero (and I mean ZERO) wind, then this is okay for you. If you are plagued with 1 to 2 mph winds, forget it.

Flame goes out with the slightest breeze

Takes a very long time to start. At least 20 tries before main flame ignites. Once it is running, the slightest breeze (using inside my garage with door open) blows out the flame. When the burner flame goes out, there is a very loud popping noise. My neighbor across the street came running over as he thought something blew up. Maybe I just got a bad one. Reached out for factory product support several weeks ago on Amazon link. So far no response. So, I’m stuck with a very bad product that can’t be returned as the return window closed by the time it got cold enough outside to use it. Amazon needs to have a longer return window. No more purchases from Dyna-Glo for me !!!

Not happy.

Product worked only for 10 minutes and then died. No reason. Box that came in was retaped which shows that probably was a return.

Fire hazard

We bought this product for our cottage during the cold winters. We have used it maybe 5 times so far. It was working wonderful until last night when it caught fire and burnt the whole bottom out of it, plastic assembly and all. Scared the crap out of us. Could have burnt the cabin down. Not happy! The heater should have a “too hot” shut off safety feature!

Bought this for camping, but I can’t seem to start it Maybe I have a faulty one I can only get to the pilot light stage Followed the instructions on paper and on YouTube and it still won’t light Help me please:)

Prone to catch fire

Worked fine for about a month then it exploded and caught fire. Almost burned 2 people. Needs better safety features
