Does what it's supposed to

I bought a patio heater and was tired of heating the area behind us and not the deck where everyone sits. I found this one on sale and decided to give it a try. This thing does exactly what it's supposed to and I noticed more of my deck being heated and using less propane to do it. Assembly was easy and straightforward. I know people had reviews that it was so heavy that it bent their heater backwards so I only have the reflector on when I'm using the heater and I take it off after it's cooled off.

Only The Sides

Bit frustrated because I needed the top dome and the sides and don’t believe they made it real clear that this was only the sides - they are good quality and did attach to the new domes once I got them - gave them 4stars because should be clear that this is only the side shield - otherwise would have given 5

Excellent service!! Issues have been resolved! Very top heavy. Blows over in windy conditions.

Thought this would be nice for grilling in cold or chilly weather. That part is good. Keeping it standing is a serious issue. Since I wrote the original review, I have had excellent communication with East Oak! Super friendly and they provided replacement for parts damaged by the wind, as well as a sandbox to give the heater better stability. We will need to be careful to bring it out of the wind in the future, but it can be easily rolled to a more secure location. EXCELLENT COMPANY TO DEAL WITH! THANK YOU!

Too heavy for the top deflector

Edited-East Oak once again stood behind their product and provided the necessary parts to make this deflector work without damaging the heater itself. 100% recommend East Oak as a company! This side deflector is way too heavy for the thin top reflector. After less than 1 week of use, the top of my heater is now sagging and the side deflector now deflects upward rendering the side deflector useless. Needs a heavy duty support of some sort to keep the bending from happening due to the weight of this on the out edge of the top deflector. Removed this thing and bought one that attaches closer to the body of the heater so it doesn’t bend the top deflector any more severely than it already is.

Not bad

It works, it’s nothing special but it’s okay, I think it is a bit expensive for what it does but what isn’t?

So far so good

So far so good. We aren’t using the “feet” to mount the heater but did add the water and sand weight accessory off their store and installed. Note- slide the propane tank out, tilt the heater to an angle and install the Weight with bolts and nuts with a screwdriver or long socket to make that easier. The heater is great so far but if you can use a 20 pound instead of a 15 you will get longer use with it. ***if you have a screw on propane gauge you won’t be able to slide the cover down and over with the way the hose is**. You can go through the upper hole on the cover however and fish it back through.
