4 solid stars excellent if your drain is shallow meaning the threads depth.
I purchased 3 different drain assemblies, did not realize there were different depths, this one is about 1-1/8-1-/4 deep vs. the others which are 1-5/8" deep. Our installation 1989 high rise condo has a sharp 90 degree bend so the depth is an issue. Also, make sure you know which width you need in my case it was the smaller 1-3/8 or 1-1/4 never could tell how the companies measure this and they call it fine thread. I give it a solid 4 stars because the original 1989 was thicker copper or brass and this is probably a cheaper metal with chrome plating as the threads show a couple spots of rust. Also, be wary of the plumber putty you use as some stain the white porcelain and others don't and I used liquid teflon tape on the threads and finally I was over-tightening the drain and realized later to not crank as tight as the plumbers putty was oozing out too much. I noticed this when I removed the original after I realized I had the wrong size and had to reinstall. One last note, I used a dremel tool with copper wire brush to clean out the threads which makes the install nice and easy as it is probably semi-easy to cross thread.

Perfect Threads for the old procelin Tub
The old Tub Drian was leaking and this was an easy install using the Tub Tool after adding plumbers putty to the base along with some Teflon tape for a better connection. Have pic of old vs new.

Difficult to find, but once you have it you'll thank yourself for doing so.
So just as the last customer added a comment, this is a strange non-standard size drain assembly. So I only needed the drain cap itself and not the entire assembly since the hardware I purchased already had the bottom threaded drain mounted to the bathtub already. I ordered several of these on here(much like you would at any store, then simply return them all later) just to get the right size for my new tub. I ordered the pipe drain from here too and I thought that the recommendation for this would immediately pop up, that clearly wasn't the case here. There is another size that is slightly larger than this and the drain must be larger, which this is not. So in summary, a very challenging item that was hard to fnd but Eastman is the way to go. No big box store can provide this item as they only sell the generic Danco replacement which are cheap aftermarket knockoffs. I highly recommend any Eastman product wholeheartedly.

Just be careful.
This is a easy drain to install and is performing just fine since it was purchased. My only complaint is the flash left over from it manufacture will attract anything that passes through. I took some time to file and sand the excess metal to prevent buildup in the drain. Odd that everything exposed after the install is smooth and well finished. Why they didn’t finish the job, who knows. Be aware, the flash is sharp.

goofy way to lock the drain plug
in order to install the drain body must remove plug which locked in by a phillips screw. not that bad to install although a little awkward to turn screw driver that is right against floor of tub. Of course whoever goes to remove it won't be able to see the phillips screw to remove it

This is a difficult to find 14 TPI x 1" depth threads x 1.5" inside diameter drain
This is a difficult to find: 14 TPI (teeth per inch) x 1" depth threaded drain body 1.5" inside diameter drain Quality is good brass plated in chrome.. SO if you have a "shallow drain shoe" this is the part you need! The threaded body is only about 1" in length and will not bottom out on the shoe before seating on the tub. Fits Crane and Seyco brand tub shoes.

Product was as described and received ahead of schedule
The product was exactly as described and I got it way ahead of the scheduled arrival time. Took me 5 mins to take out the previous broken drain plug and install this one. Very pleased with the product.

this is a 1 5/8" 16 thread
I was looking for a 1 7/8 diam 16 thread. Maybe I need to find a brass adapter 1 5/8 to 1 7/8

Great for claw foot / iron tub
This fit my cast iron tub perfectly (90 bend under tub) and fine threading ensured the right seal. Installed in 5 minutes with the right tools. Great value.
