Good rod for blackout curtains

This is a fine rod for blackout curtains; I'm using it for that in my living room. I have generous window framing, so I opted to put the rod in the frame instead of the wall, and didn't use the included drywall anchors. Simple look that doesn't call a lot of attention to itself. I found it a little pesky to install this by myself because the rod doesn't detach from both ends. So it's a little hard to balance and hold level while you're marking the holes and putting in the screws. But it all worked out fine, and it looks nice in the end.

Great to help black out the room

Very easy to install. I installed almost to the ceiling with ikea blackout curtains (I also have blackout rollers inside the window) and we’ve reached 97% blackout in the room ????????

Must have for blackout or thermal curtains

Excellent curtain rod if you are hanging up heavier thermal and/or blackout curtains. The rod is sturdy enough to take the weight of these types of curtains without buckling in the center. For larger windows as well, an addition support hook is included to be installed at the halfway point of the rod to provide additional support. The curved design of this rod makes it a much better choice than a cafe-style rod which leaves the sides of your window open and allows light and heat in and out. It also looks nicer than the generic white oval shaped slide rods if your curtains hang with tab tops or grommets rather than a pocket to slide the rod through. This rod is more expensive than a similar generic white rod, Elipse is the same company that makes the style of thermal blackout curtains we have, and it stands to reason they would be the best to design a curtain rod that can stand up to the weight and hang style of the curtains they sell.

Good quality

Good value Curtain Rod. it was well made and easy to install. Work great with Blackout curtain, it will block the light coming from the side of the curtain. its what I need for my bedroom. Overall, I would recommend it.

Quite Nice

Installation on this was easy and it worked as advertised when I paired it with blackout curtains and hung it higher than the window. This is a good option for anyone seeking full-side-closure curtain rods. Good luckin your search.

BEST idea to cover the edges where sunlight sneaks in!

This design really works! Our bedrooms honeycomb room darkening shades, BUT — they can never go exactly to the very edge & block out every speck of light. Along comes this wrap around rod & the curtain then covers the narrow strip on the sides. It’s sturdy, well made, & easy to install. I used a drill, but a screwdriver will work, too, if you’re only mounting in drywall. Worth the (reasonable) cost! **Thank you for reading this review & I hope that it’s Helpful!** ????

room darkening

My son has a room on the second floor of our new to me home. The sun rises directly in line with his window, we added darkening blinds and they did help, but these rods combined with black our curtains blocks out 99% of the light, very happy with the wrap around design. 5 stars!
