This is a very bright light and what I needed for a dark corner of my apartment

My cat has her area in the corner of my apartment. The area has poor lighting. Not anymore. This is a bright light that uses 6 AA batteries. This is what I needed. I'm purchasing a 2nd one to put on the wall between my sink and stove to boost the lighting there. I'm pleased with this product.

You can't live without this.... i

There's always a nook, an entrance, a place where the electrician or contractor didn't put a light. My entrance light was fine--but not till you got pretty far. This light, next to the outside door, gives guidance those dark and stormy nights. Now I have a new bathroom in the basement but it's tied in to the overhead light. Hmm.. the night lights are okay but what about this? Attractive, doesn't use an outlet and long lasting. Yes!

Bright light, responsive motion detection, but light is white and hard on eyes

Energizer Motion Activated Wall Sconce, Battery Operated Modern Lamp, Nightlights, Stick Anywhere, Wireless LED Light Fixture for Hallway, Aisle, Kitchen, Lobby, Bathroom, 40644 I got this light for a dark hallway that didn’t have much access to natural light. It’s been good! It looks nice and works very well. The main downsides were mounting and just how bright the light was. Let’s break it down. Good: - Very responsive to motion - Light sensitive (motion detection only activates during low light) - Customizable/multiple ways you can activate light - Decently attractive for a plastic wall sconce Bad: - Light is white and very bright; I have some other nightlights that are orange and easier on my eyes - Comes with a mounting kit but it didn’t work very well, I had to modify - Requires a lot of batteries. Only time will tell how long they will last Overall, I’d say this is an efficient and good plastic sconce. Has a couple of drawbacks but they aren’t major. I’d recommend this product.

Good light, could be better

We are adding several safety lights for the night use. So when the Energizer Scone was available, I wanted to give it a try. It looks and functions well. However the use of old style AA is a limitation. It uses 6 AA batteries. That is more than any other light I tried (most usually had at most 4). However as you can see, it can be hacked to work with only two lithium cells (don't do this at home without making really sure you know what you are doing, it is a fire risk). And the mounting option is a very simple wall screw. Modern lights go for sliding backplates or magnetic attachments. Overall, the light works, and is pleasant to the eye. The motion sensor has a good range, and if it were a bit more modern, I could have given it a full five stars rating.

works well and looks good

The nightlight is not a stick anywhere, it attaches with screws and it does not have a removable base so you could leave the base and remove the light to change batteries. The battery compartment is on the back, so there is no way around it. The light uses 6 AA batteries. It is pretty bright. I put it in the garage and it lets me see where I go. The light is motion activated and it stays on until you stop moving +20 seconds. Some other motion activated lights do not wait for you to stop moving and it is annoying. The range 120 degrees for motion is in horizontal direction, side to side but not up and down, so you cannot leave it on the side, it has to stay vertical. It looks very nice, better than most motion activated lights.

Some considerations here

This is a nice light and is quite bright. Battery life seems to be decent so far, and it will look good in most decor/color schemes. The motion sensor does not do very well unless the room is VERY dark. I put this in a garage with no other light than a window, and at dusk the faint light coming through the window kept the light from activating until I was less than 3 feet away from it. Works much better in the closet and the basement, where it finally ended up after testing it out around the house.

Hit or miss

I like the appearance of this light, as well as the amount of light it throws off. It is the perfect amount of light for our dark stairwell. However, the sensor is sometimes sluggish to trigger where I have it placed. I think because I have it sitting almost at ground level, it doesn’t register movement as well. When I place it higher it works fine, but sadly in the space I need it, I also need it to be lower to the ground. So just keep that in mind, if you also need it placed very low to the ground it has more difficulty registering movement.
