A few surprises here

The width of the unit is wider than many older devices, and I found that it actually interferes with the screw hole for the “old work box” I had in the wall. I don’t know when this box was bought and installed, but the design had the locking screw inside the box area, and it just runs into this switch so you can’t tighten down. Newer “old work” boxes have full interiors, so I wouldn’t expect any modern retrofit to have this issue. Also, on first power on, the device is auto on for 5 minutes, and then everything works. I thought I might have shorted something as it was on and kept going and manual actuation didn’t work to turn off. After 5 min (maybe less…), the 5 min LED flashed and everything worked as normal. A similar thing happened with a GE device that looks identical to this one, so it’s not a unique issue, I guess.

Works great. The over ride (holding down the power button for 8 seconds is very nice when painting the bathroom and you want the fan to run overnight and manually push the power button again to cancel the override.

My second one. The first one died after several years in service.

It’s a nice exhaust fan timer with option times to suit anyone. It was a bit difficult to cram the device, wire nuts & everything into the 4-by-4 box, but I eventually got it all in and working. It has an odd quirk where it appears to be dead upon first power-up. I hooked it up and turned on the breaker and… nothing. No lights, no on-off action on any button. I was about to start removing the wire nuts to see if there was a bad connection, when I pushed a button again and saw it was working. It seems to take almost a minute after power is applied to start working, so be patient.

Excellent switch

Used for bathroom fans. Good instructions. Easily installed. Looks great. Simple to use. Be careful to order the correct one based on your home’s wiring. Wired with a separate load wire or without a load wire. Research can be done on You Tube for what is a load wire and how to find it in your wiring. If you are not a DYI person, hire an electrician.

Good reliable product

Works as it should. The only down side is that after you select time interval (push appropriate button) the LED on it just blinks and does not stay on, so another person would not know what the selection was. Not critical, but I like other design , when LED stays on after selection

Works as advertised; nice functionality & design

Liked the "idea" / concept of this invention, especially that you do NOT need a neutral inside the box. It works as advertised and will definitely save me money on electricity costs in the long run. One hint for improvement: This version has 6 time selections, but that means those 6 buttons are rather small ... and get very small letter fonts on each. So consider a version with only 4 larger button choices? For example, 5 min + 20 min + 60 min + 2 hours would be appropriate / sufficient and likely cheaper to build / buy too. After all, nobody if going to squint-to-read or memorize all 6 button selections in current version, but 4 would be right. Otherwise very satisfied with timer buttons because motion sensing switches are very unreliable in odd shaped rooms like basements.

Easy to install. Should have put these in earlier. Make sure you check your existing switch for correct wiring.
