Gentle facial cleansing balm of quality ingredients
I find the Erborian Centella Cleansing Balm to be a quality cleanser that is made in France. It is dermatologically and ophthalmologically tested. The cleansing balm melts once on the skin and feels greasy, so it removes makeup well. The instructions say to "gently massage in circular motion on a dry face, including the eyes, then lather into a milky veil with water before rinsing thoroughly." This cleanser doesn't lather up a whole lot, not like soap, but you will see just a bit of what could be described as lather once you add a little water. The cleanser rinses off clean and leaves my skin feeling soft. My skin also feels a little dry after use, but less so than other facial cleansers I use. I don't care much for the smell of this cleansing balm. It seems they tried to lightly scent it with a fragrance to cover the smell of the other ingredients. Luckily it's not a strong smell, and it's gone once I rinse off the cleanser. The cost of this cleanser seems a little high at $45 - I'm used to buying cheaper, lesser quality facial cleansers - but you get a fair amount of a gentle, quality cleanser (2.8 ounces) and I find that a little goes a long way.

Nice motorizing cleansing balm
The media could not be loaded. When I removed the seal and opened the jar there was a piece of plastic in the lid that secures a little paddle for getting the product so you don't have to use your fingers. I thought you'd was a nice touch. When I was finished using the paddle I was able to clean it off and put it back up in the lid so it wouldn't get product all over it. I thought the product felt nice and a little went a long way. It had an interesting consistency very melty and buttery. It was a little oily going on but my skin didn't feel oily after I washed it off. It had a faint smell of almost cucumber or something faintly herby. My skin felt very clean after use. I didn't feel like it was particularly moisturizing after the fact, but it wasn't drying either. I think it's a nice product but I think it's a little expensive.

Thick balm for face cleansing with recognizable ingredients
I don't wear makeup, so I didn't get to test the makeup removing properties of this balm, but I used it as a regular face cleanser. Because I like to wash my face in the shower, I applied the balm to my dry face before getting in the shower, wet and shampooed my hair, then used my damp hands to massage the balm a bit further before rinsing off. It didn't seem like it lathered much when I wet it but it did rinse off easily. The jar had a safety seal that I needed to pull off before opening, comes with a small spatula for applying (which I didn't use since I just dipped my finger into the balm, and an inner lid that will help it stay fresh. The balm has a consistency about like Vaseline but with more natural ingredients. It has a mild scent that's hard to describe - sort of a fruity floral. My skin felt soft after using but no more so than from using a creamy cleanser. For people who wear a lot of makeup and take it off at the sink at night, this cleanser could be useful but I prefer to cleanse in the shower so it was a bit of a hassle. The balm worked fine but I find its current price of $45 to be too much to spend on a cleanser. If I am spending that kind of money, I'd prefer to put it toward serums or creams that stay on my skin rather than something I rinse off. I could not find any expiration date printed on the jar.

Smells Awesome and is Great for Cleaning Dry Skin
My Skin Type: Pale, dry, sun-damaged, sensitive, prone to redness My Typical AM Facial Routine: Wash/exfoliate, serum, moisturizer with SPF or if without, apply sunscreen on top of moisturizer My Typical PM Facial Routine: Clean with Micellar water/reusable cotton pad, serum, heavier overnight moisturizer My Review of this product: Came sealed with tape over the side of the lid/jar for security. I'm not a fan of the bright red color of the jar unless you never plan on leaving it displayed on your counter or shelf. There is a small stick tucked in the lid for applying but I preferred to use my finger. I didn't use it to remove my non-waterproof eye makeup because I don't like the feeling oily removers leave on my eyes afterward. The consistency of this balm is like a creamier version of Vasoline and it smells awesome (kind of a tropical/coconut scent). I rubbed it all over my face and was surprised by how far a little bit goes. There are no exfoliating properties to it but it did leave my skin feeling very moisturized afterward. I wouldn't use it every day because I do like exfoliating my skin, especially during these dry months. That and the cost would be the only negatives I would give for this product.

Leaves skin clean and soft.
Works very well and makes my face feel clean. It has a petroleum jelly feel to it, quickly melting/dissolving. I feel like it deep cleans my skin. It leaves it feeling very soft. Although a bit pricey ($45) a little goes a long way.
