Great value!

This is my first pair of Skele-Toes. I was hesitant to purchase since they look funny. But I bought these for a mud run and they worked out well. I was able to move through the mud without getting stuck (vs wearing old chunky sneakers). I was also able to wash them extensively after the run and save them completely! They still look new. I wouldn't recommend wearing these on a regular jog if it's longer than 2 or 3 miles since there is not much ankle support. But if you are doing any type of drills or lateral movements, theses shoes are great! Also, I usually wear a size 6 in women and was able to buy the "big kid" size to save some $!

Small Man Wears Boys Shoes!

Headline aside, I am 5' 3" and almost all the traditional free-toes shoes aren't made in a size 6.5. I use them when going to the gym and they do make me more aware of my posture, foot placement, etc. Not the experience I was hoping for, as they are built targeting kids, but I do like them enough to keep wearing them!

Fila Skele-toes

I love these shoes so much that I ended up buying 3 pairs! I have small feet, so my first order was a Big Kid's size 6, only to find that I still had a good bit of room in them. When I ordered pairs #2 & #3, I decided to get the Big Kid's 5, and they're perfect. I really like how they feel; it is much like being barefoot. I dig the snazzy colours, too. ;-) I have a pair of (über expensive) 5-toed sneakers from a different company, and they are so uncomfortable that I've never worn them (they're now up for grabs...). These Fila's have 4 toe slots which I find much more comfortable. I have a ridiculously high instep, so I was leary of making this purchase because these shoes don't have a conventional lacing system; they do, however, have a generous opening and the lacing provided allows for perfect fit adjustment. Every time I've worn these, complete strangers have approached me to compliment the shoes and inquire about them. I always sing their praises, and then direct them to the seller Wakestein on Amazon. Fantastic seller, super fast shipping, and the prices are beyond reasonable. (I paid only $19.99/pair! and even with the $5.00 shipping, that's still well below what they're going for at retail outlets!! Hence, my multiple purchases.... LOL... seriously, thanks to Wakestein, I was able to get 3 for the price of 1!! Can't go wrong there!) Love my Skele-toes! You should buy these. Now.

Ripped after 2 uses

I purchased these for an 11 year old. He has wanted them for years and was so excited to get them. It took a lot of time for him to be able to put them on, but was determined. Once he gets them on he loves them. He loves to run and says that these help him run fast! However, he wore them three times and his toes started poking through the tips. Thank goodness for Amazon's generous return policy because I am able to send them back. He still really wants them so I have ordered another pair and are hoping he has better luck!

Muscle

These shoes are amazing and they activate different muscle groups than normal walking in regular shoes. I wear them while hiking in the woods and they allow for deeper earthing

Run very small.

These run very small, my son normally wear an 10 toddler. I ordered and 11 based on reviews to size up and they wouldn’t even go on his feet. Fast return/refund. Ordered a size 1 and waiting for them to arrive. Hopefully they will fit.

My boys loved mine and wanted some of their own

I've worn 'toe shoes' for a while, and both of my boys wanted a pair. My 11-year-old likes them, and he wears them pretty often, especially when he's tired and sore after football or long mountain bike rides. My 3-year-old absolutely LOVES them, and he actually managed to start wearing them out before he outgrew them. Finding (boys) kids-sized toe socks was hard (Injinji socks are the best; the sizes will stretch to fit a wide range of sizes; they are incredibly durable; and they can be worn with regular shoes, too), but once we got a few pair, he has worn them every chance he gets.

Does run a little small

Grandson said he loved them and they fit great and felt best with the slele-toes socks. He wore them once then didn't choose to wear them again. He is 8 years old....who knows why he doesn't wear them. Could be the comfort or could be the comments he received from peers. A size three in a regular shoe is a little loose on him. With these the size three was an exact fit.
