Will not buy again - "hydraulics" of the chair don't work well - chair slowly lowers down
Purchased twice in 3 years - 2 chairs each time. Thought first time the hydraulic issue was a fluke or a bad batch of a part; it is not a fluke. You can adjust the height of the chairs; however, they slowly lower during the day, so have to be adjusted often. The chairs look great and are comfortable, but do not warrant the price we paid because they do not function properly.

REALLY wanted to like this chair... But just can't.
I do not know why but it seems harder and harder to find an "executive" style FABRIC chair. High back, full length padded arms, raise/lower, tilt, tilt lock... the basics. Since the Office Depot/Max merger happened the selection was exactly the same. Staples offered different selection but had the same results. I wanted a fabric non leather, non mesh chair because when I'm in my shorts I don't want my skin peeling off the leather and the mesh is just too cold, and the micro fiber how ever so soft gets really hot to me. After having my previous chair since 1999 I decided it was time to find a new one. I searched and searched went to ALL the brick and mortar stores here in San Antonio. finally ended up on Ol' faithful Amazon, and found this thing. It hit everything on my list and it was cheap! Click Click BOOM 2 days later hello new chair... assembly was fine. They even give a few extra screws incase something is wrong with one of them. Then I sit in it. First thing I noticed that the back is very firm. Which was fine I wasn't expecting a tempurpedic pillow or anything and I figured if this was going to last 16 years as well then it would soften up after time anyway. The seat cushion was fine... at first. I've had the chair just a little over a month and have already sold it to a co-worker of mine for $25... The seat cushion... I wish they would have put some the firmness in the back into the seat. You know where 98% of your body weight rests on during your time in a chair.... In a one month time my gluteus maximus made contact with the plywood that shaped the cushion, and would hurt after two hours of being in the chair (I am in the IT field there are long periods of sitting). So I am back in my old chair which still feels fine in comparison. I am also not impressed with the fabric it is very rough and almost scratchy if that makes any sense, but my thought on that was that too would get softer over time. Pros: High back Fabric Full-length padded arms Tilt, tilt lock, tilt tension controls Easy assembly Cons: non-durable seat cushion Fabric is very rough Back is more firm than expected I cannot recommend this chair for a big guy although the build is sturdy enough the quality of the cushion is not representative of the build quality.

After a year not very comfortable
Bought this chair in May 2020 for $100 less than it sells for now. Quality has not held up very well. I'm average size and the seat cushion has flattened out to where I have to place another cushion on top for comfort. Also the hydraulic cylinder loses air after awhile and I have to keep adjusting the height. I do not recommend this chair for the new price of over $250.

The chair is very good, but assembly is horrid.
Assembly was a nightmare. screws not aligned well with the post. because of that, I had to go buy a tap and die set and replacement screws because the ones that came easily cross threaded. However, once the chair is properly assembled, it is a very good value. I chose a fabric chair because my cats ruin any bonded leather chairs. These, they don't mess with. I am big person, and I find this chair comfortable. I have bad knees and find the height of this chair less strain on my knees and easier to get out of. I normally sit upright, but when get tired I can lean back and rest my head on the head rest. I would have given only two stars if it was rated on assembly, however, that only being a part of it, I will give it 4 stars because once assembled, it is a very good chair and very comfortable.

Very comfortable chair!
The chair was easy to assemble, and it is comfortable and well-upholstered with what seems like very durable fabric. I wanted a fabric-upholstered because I have had bad experiences with "split leather" upholstery. My only problem with this chair is that it makes cracking, popping noises when I sit down in it, and when I move while sitting in it. It doesn't seem like anything is broken, it's just noisy.

Tilt mechanism
Pros: The hydraulic mechanism works fine and the chair is attractive and comfortable. I like the padded arms. Cons: My main issue is with the tilt control and the lock mechanism. I keep having to turn the chair upside down to fiddle with it which is annoying. If you are someone who likes to rock a bit while you're sitting in your office chair-I would take a pass on this one.

Met every requirement, better than expected!
Bought this for my son, who jus moved out, and he couldn't be happier with this chair. He wanted a high back and I had a hard time finding one that wasn't leather or faux leather (which he hates). He also didn't want a mesh chair with a operate head rest, because the all seem to have hard plastic. The gray tweed fabric is really nice, he said it's extreme comfortable. He needed a chair for his room that would function as a desk chair and relaxing chair to lean back and watch movies. He found it difficult to get the screws in through the fabric, but this was his first time putting furniture together, so easily frustrated. I'm sure if I was there to help, it would have gone much smoother. The price was amazing for quality of the chair and shipping was super fast. Highly recommend!

Broken
October 3 Stars. The seat comfort is OK. One bolt ended up stripped. The high back is great to lean back and sleep. Big problem: It is lopsided. It leans to the right. Sometimes, the leaning back (it reclines very far) gets stuck and I have to sit upright all day. That sucks. I almost want to give it a 2 star, but the price is good. UPDATE! 12/14/15 1 Star. The leaning to the right has completely spread all over. The chair will not remain in a comfortable position. It leans right, left, all over the place. The leaning mechanism is clearly busted and was bad from the start. It only got worse over time and I was out of luck. I have only owned this chair for 3 months and it is a COMPLETE WASTE OF MONEY. No, I am not 300 pounds either. I am 220 and it is ridiculous that this chair is completely broken after 3 months. Now I need to see if it is under manf. warranty which that info had to be requested by e-mail from amazon.
