great alternative to a electrician
I installed this quickly (30 mins.) with a youtube video .. it is outstanding quality and 1/3 of the cost with labor for an appliance tech to replace. I used to pay $160 for installation just for it to break down within 12 months. I will definitely buy again from this seller. it arrived in great sturdy packaging also

Correct part, needed specific connectors for replacement.
Our original igniter stopped working (stopped glowing). We bought this one because it was the correct part number. We needed our electrician friend to provide the specific connection pieces to install this one into the old plugs. However, he had these on hand and had the replacement igniter ready in 10 minutes. Oven now works! A lot cheaper than purchasing a new oven!

Made by Roberstshaw in the USA. Tag says Robertshaw igniter model 41-205
I have a 20 year old Viking VGIC305 30 inch freestanding stainless steel range. I got good service from the original oven igniters but they are finally dying 20 years later. There are three igniters total in my 30 inch Viking range - 2 for the oven, one for the broiler. Your experience with the number of igniters may vary. I found dozens of igniters across the online spectrum from the Viking OEM model (~$165 EACH!!) to some suspicious Asian knockoffs for about $12 each. I was not spending almost $500 on three OEM Viking igniters for a 20 year old range. The truth about where the products are sourced is sketchy at best. This particular igniter on Amazon is listed as being made by Frigidaire and is a good example of the online confusion for country of origin and manufacturer. The ones I received from Amazon are actually made by Robertshaw for Frigidaire and probably a lot of other stove companies. Robertshaw is a 120+ year old American company based in Illinois that makes electrical parts, controls and valves to name a few. See my attached photos for the Robertshaw/Made in USA tag. The Robertshaw model is the one with the shorter ceramic body. The Robertshaw igniters I received from Amazon are identical to the ones in my Viking range minus the 2 spade clips on the wires. For $145 less (each) than the Viking OEM igniters, I added an insulated spade connector myself and connected it with ceramic wire nuts. Don’t use regular wire nuts, they won’t take the oven heat, could melt a cause a short and/or a fire. No bueno! The major difference between the OEM Viking, this Robertshaw model I bought and the Asian knockoffs I saw appearance wise is that the metal igniter element on the Viking and the Robertshaw is a flat rectangle. On the Asian knockoffs, it's circular. I don't know what difference that makes for the usability or longevity of the Asian models but I'd rather not find out. I bought three of these Robertshaw igniters and I'll likely buy 3 more shortly down the road once I see how these new ones perform for a few months. (I bought 3 more at a later date). OEM Viking parts are like BMW parts - absurdly expensive - and the supply chain changes constantly. If Ireorder these same igniters in a year, they might be sourced from overseas or elsewhere or simply vanish from Amazon. The photo on the right hand side shows the old igniter with the longer ceramic body. The Robertshaw model from Amazon is on the left. I got the new ones installed and they work great. Oven heats to 300 degrees in about 12 minutes, more than twice as fast as the old igniters. Hope this data helps!

DIY to the rescue!
This oven igniter is a universal part for gas ovens, a Thermador for us. Imagine roasting a turkey for Thanksgiving and the oven doesnt work! YouTube to the rescue, an appliance repairman showed how to repair an oven that doesn't ignite -- he even included the Amazon part # ! How easy was that ! The part arrived in a day or two, and we followed the repairman's instructions to a T, and voila! Turkey time wasn't cancelled! So kudos to appliance repairman who posted on YouTube, and this oven igniter being available when we needed it. Save money, DIY!

Second Update: Controller board was the issue. First update: reheats taking longer than usual....
SECOND UPDATE 3/21: Replaced with OEM due to error code repeating, old igniter still intact, error code happened again, replaced controller board under home warranty. Error code did not return. So I guess I have a spare igniter in case this one fails…. But to reiterate, the controller board was the issue. Highly recommend a home warranty, saved me 150 bucks vice ordering the controller board standalone. UPDATE: preheats have been taking a while, 45 minutes to get to 450, hear the gas cycling and sometimes is slow to respond. Continuing to evaluate. I used this to replace the existing infighter in a Fridgidare ffgf3047lsf oven, the part arrived in good condition, both ceramic nuts were present. I removed the oven racks, door per oven instructions, then bottom of oven and gas deflector plate which gave me clear access to the igniter, had to pull out the broil drawer and remove some metal flashing in the back right corner to get access to the connector, 3 1/4 in hex screws. When I pulled the igniter all the way out and compared, it had the same labels on the cable as the replacement part. I cut and stripped the original wires, joining them with the new and tightened on the ceramic caps. I chose to strip near the original connectors to keep the caps away from the heat. The biggest problem I had was putting the metal flashing in the back corner since it wanted to flex and not align with the screw hole. After cleaning the bottom of the oven, I put it all back together and started her up, she lit off without issue, ran at 500 degrees for 30 minutes with no ill effects yet. I’d say for 20 bucks with a 2 day turnaround on delivery I am satisfied. If it does fail, I may go the home warranty route and ask them to supply the OEM part, but as previously mentioned, this one appeared to match the part exactly. I didn’t check any resistance readings prior to part replacement. I will update this review in a while based on potential failure or if it’s still going. Hope this helps!

Works for my Blue Star 36" range
Direct replacement in my Blue Star no problem. We have had the range for just over 3 years, and I just replaced the oven igniter for the second time. I am not too pleased with the lack of longevity with this part, but oh well I guess. THe "OEM" Blue Star part is priced at about $145, and the original one did not last very long at all. So therefore, I am very OK with this price, just paid $40 so I can have a spare on hand so I do not end up with an over that does not work. It only too me about 10 minutes to replace and back to baking.

Not much to say. Very easy to install and the bake burner fired right up.

Works well, easy to install
I used this in a Wolf Stove... which the parts store told me "Wolf have their own special parts"... No they do not! These parts are all made by the same few vendors. Some by Coors tec, some by others. All used by Fridgeagaire, Wolf, Thermador and others. Last time the Wolf repairman came and "fixed" my stove, he changed the ignitor with a Thermador (CoorsTec) part for $118, plus he changed the gas distribution thing for $400... Grand total $950 with labour! Turns out the problem was a $40 part... And a few hours of my time!

Worked perfectly and no issues with installation
Was very happy to find this part at a great, reasonable price. It was installed simply and seems to be working fine. I was so afraid I was going to have to replace my stove and I'm super glad to avoid that $3000 bill!
