Great Carabiner

Lock feature is very tight. Has some weight to it. It's also very sturdy as I bought it for rigging limbs out of trees. I would highly recommend.

Using for aerial silks/hammock/lyra/web

My 5 kids and I all do aerial circus arts (lyra, hammock, web, and silks) and some or all of us are on the equipment every day. These are great. I love using quick release locking carabiners since we switch out the equipment on our aerial hanging points frequently. We use them between the ceiling point and swivel as well as between the swivel and apparatus. We have used less expensive (aluminum) carabiners in the past (some came with the silks and hammocks) and they wore through and eventually broke (literally) into two pieces... not at the joint, but right in the middle... we do NOT have that issue with these steel carabiners. I have purchased several of these particular carabiners and plan to purchase more as money permits (to replace our non quick-release carabiners).

Double action auto lock

Works great for rigging situations. Not triple action so not for life support but definitely a solid strong caribeaner

This is a newer model with the smooth nose.

The photo shows the version with the hook nose that catches on cord and webbing however this is the model that fits the description. It's the one with the more modern smooth nose. My only regret is had I known I would have bought two more, and I would buy more if it weren't for shipping Etc to Canada from the states. The main reason why I chose the gold color is to be able to quickly distinguish these steel carabiners from all the other aluminum ones that I have in case someone else is digging through the lot looking for steel carabiners. These are excellent quality and very heavy duty

my favorite steel auto-locking carabiner

Loved this product. It is lighter than others but a good size with a snag free point at the gate (unlike the picture). my only complaint is that they changed the price from $17.61 to $23.43. Because of this I purchased several of the troy spidergard carabiners which are almost as good at $14.00. I would give this 5 stars if the price hadn't gone up.
