Looks Great, Lore Accurate, Slightly Finnicky Assembly
Gameplay Laeral comes on a tabletop-accurate medium size base, dressed in flowing robes, and floating in a fairly neutral pose. The sculpt is based on her official D&D character art, as depicted in Waterdeep: Dragon Heist and other material. This is notable, because the other 5th edition Laeral figure from Icons of the Realms Laeral Silverhand miniature is a more martial figure, with a different hairstyle, and wielding a blade. An odd choice, considering Laeral is, and always has been, a spellcaster. The discrepancy is so great, I cannot help but wonder if the modeler got her confused with her sister, Storm Silverhand. As a result, the D&D Collector's Series figure here is the only one that will give a lore accurate visual on your tabletop. Modeling The miniature comes in two pieces, body and hair. Take care when removing her hair from the sprue, as it slightly overlaps with the main bar of moulding resin. In order to get the hair to sit flush against her head, you will have to use a pointed file to hollow its base out evenly around the very, very small attachment bump in the center. This is somewhat delicate work, given that the detail of her hair bun is very very easy to scratch. Her robe is very detailed, but can come with some resin flash or slightly irregularities that need sanding. This is not hard, but do not grasp her too tightly when doing so or you can damage some of the finer details. See the "Issues" section below for information about her base. Issues Laeral's base and getting her to stand up properly is the lone problem with this kit. The only portion of her miniature that touches the base is near the front of her robes. On the sprue, you will notice a small peg that connects with her sprue as well as some resin injection columns on either side of it. This peg goes into the hole on her base, but it is seriously undersized and given the floating nature of the model, you can't count on gravity to help you when gluing like you can with many of the other Collector's Series figures. Take care when clipping the resin columns on the left and right undersides of her dress. Putting too much stress can snap off the fragile base-peg. Once those are gone, you can just bend the sprue off the base-peg (carefully). To get her to stand up straight, you need to use some object to hold her upright and in place while the glue in the base sets. I cut out a square of cardboard from the side of a toilet paper roll and set it upright (with the cut space on the bottom). Then I slid her back up against the roll so that her base was partially underneath it using the space i made from cutting out the square. A setup like this is useful because it is difficult to get her centered, and not leaning forward, backwards, or to either side. I put a circular labeled sticker on the bottom of the base to make sure the glue stayed in (and didn't pour out the bottom onto my modeling table). This is more of a concern here than with other Collector's Series figures due to how undersized her base-peg is. In the unfortunate circumstance where you break off the base-peg, you're going to need to use a modeling drill and insert some kind of tiny pipe clipping into it to serve as a replacement. Just gluing the bottom of the dress to the base does not creating a strong bond and will likely snap after any amount of play or handling while painting. Conclusion Despite the issues with the base, I can't really down-rate this miniature. Assuming you are aware of the nuances of getting her properly assembled and have at least basic modeling tools (file, pointed file, sandpaper, something to stand her up while drying), its not that much of an imposition. The figure looks fantastic when completed, like she's popped right out of the book. Laeral appears in Tyranny of Dragons (Hoard of the Dragon Queen + Rise of Tiamat) and is also relevant for the Waterdeep based adventures (Dragon Heist + Dungeon of the Mad Mage) so you'll get more than enough use of her to justify the extra work she requires compared to some of the other human-sized Collector's Series Minis. If you want a Laeral Silverhand that actually looks like Laeral Silverhand, this is the one to get.

Great resource for Waterdeep!
Whether you're an old pro or new to running campaigns, this screen has much to offer. If you're running a campaign in Waterdeep, this screen gives you a lot to add to your players' experience. It includes the Code Legal (the laws and their associated punishments), City Scene random encounter tables for day and night, a list of inns boarding houses, day-to-day expenses (like food and room prices), taverns and fest halls, a random pickpocketed items table, broadsheets and where to find them. Wonderful for new DMs if they need a little inspiration to get some good rollplaying interactions going, giving openings for chatters to get more information about their quests. The artwork is lovely and the construction is solid as well. It's oriented to landscape instead of portrait so you can see over it more easily than other screens. No needing to peek around an 11" tall screen to see your players or the table. It is a for panel screen so you could unfold it completely, or just use two or three panels as needed. A very versatile, handy addition to any campaign set in this bustling city on the Sword Coast, and really any city. Most of the information could be used in any campaign at all. Happy gaming!

Very fragile and requires some work
This mini is a cool one, especially if you like the waterdeep setting. But I have some major issues with this mini. I don't mind having to put in a little extra work, but this required more than what it's worth. The pieces didn't line up and they were very fragile when it came to the human model. When barely moving the support to get the flush cutters on the mini, the models right arm snapped at the mid point. It was very difficult to align the piece and super glue it and does not look normal at all, but that is probably due to me. The base was the best part of the mini because it was the only thing that didn't require extra steps and you didn't have to align anything. The bar piece does not align at all one side is shorter and not flat at all. When trying to glue the piece onto the base, the bar does not sit flush with the cut out in the base. I had to sand some burrs and try to flush everything as best as I could with ruining the integrity of the model. For the price point, I would not purchase it, but if you like the waterdeep setting and you see as must have them get, but beware of the oncoming trouble.

A fun project
I just started painting and because I’m getting ready to start a Waterdeep campaign, thought getting a Xanathar mini would be perfect! This did not disappoint. It was a bit tricky to put together as I had no previous experience putting a mini together, but was definitely a rewarding and fun experience. The mouth was a little brittle and I had to cut it down a bit to make it fit, but I am happy with this! I am hoping this will bring a bit of a wow factor to my players!

Tedious but worth it.
The media could not be loaded. This is my second mini ever. Was a pain in the back side to glue all the pieces on. Maybe that’s because I’m new and didn’t know a better way. Some of the eyestalks don’t match up 100% correctly and the mouth needed some “custom” work too. Other thank that, I think this is a great mini. Going to run a campaign with the fam soon so they can take him down! Patience is key with this thing, but it is worth it!

Custom Screen for Dragon Hiest Campaign
Product is exactly as shown. Only giving 4 for the fact that this screen is very tailored towards the Dragon Hiest Campaign and nor very versatile.

Good details
Great looking piece. Tho the way it stands is odd? She’s on here tip toes. Kinda leads back on mine due to how the glue dried

Wonky and fragile
Lots of mold lines, leg didn't fit cleanly in the socket, foot hangs off the edge and difficult to glue. One bang snapped anchored leg in half.

Perfect to go with the Campaign
Lots of useful information specific to Waterdeep and things that’ll come in handy in any campaign like chance encounter tables and small loot item tables, just about to finish the Dragon Heist campaign and it’s been a nice help.

This model was one grate build, but a challenging one at that. This would be a grate model for your desk or role playing campaign. If you buy this model you will need clippers, knife, hairdryer, and files. You will definitely need modelling stuff such as green stuff for the gaps. This is a hard build but grate fun. I would suggest you watch a video on how to build Resin model because the part need heating up to reshape. I would recommend this model to people who regular build models.

Badly warped
Very disappointed, badly warped bar, virtually unfixable with the hot water bend trick. Had to use lot of green stuff to build it back up. First Gale Forse miniature I've bought and to be honest get better from my own 3d prints.
