The Big Surprise These T-Shirts are made from organically grown cotton. This was a significant surprise, as there was no mention in the listing that these were made from organic cotton, which we prefer and know command a greater price. How this arrived? This arrived in a clear, sealed by snaps, plastic packaging typically used with clothing. The size of the package was about 11½” x 8” by 2” and weighed in at (5.3) ounces. Pulling the T Shits hoodie out and weighing came in at about (4.7) ounces, so roughly (2.3) ounces a T Shirt. The bag had a small cardboard strip at the top, nothing fancy, noting the Brand name – Gap Kids, and basic information, including care instruction, and country of origin. Name Brand We selected this long-sleeved crewneck styled shirt in large part because it’s from the GAP. This is an iconic premium name brand shirt with a simple reference to GAP on neck tag. When we consider the totality, this represents solid value in clothing for such a super iconic worldwide name brand as (THE) GAP. We try to stick with name brand, because name brands typically have high standards for their clothing. Soft Cotton The shirts are more on the thick and heavy side, rather than the thin and light side. They are made with rich, snow-white, soft, and smooth 100% soft-knit (jersey) cotton, which is a knitted type of cotton fabric known for its soft, comfy feel, and is notably stretchy. Other cotton knits do not have the flexibility of this shirt. Here, GAP’s knitting technique gives this shirt an elastic kind of quality, without blending synthetic fibers. Country or origin Made in India Care Washed in like colors, warm water, and line dried, or dryer on low heat Fit & Feel It’s in the Details, this fit as expected, is comfortable, and our toddler had no rashes or scratches from any seams. Value They are premium priced, as compared to the run of the mill T Shit, however, from the totality, including that these are made from organic cotton, these represent good competitive value. Overall Great for gifting, as the shirt arrived with that nice, heavy-duty, logo bag. Gap clothing is well received worldwide! Considering the weight, about (2.3) ounces per shirt, it could be worn as an all-weather T-Shirt, underclothes, or just as is. Would we select this again? Oh yes, we would select this again and again. Very helpful in completing a GAP ensemble. All shirts are not made alike This shirt is more than just its label. This is made from a great natural material, soft stretchy like organic cotton. Its size is spot on. We saw no noticeable shrinkage, no piling, and no yellowing. The fit is as it should be.
