CSYNC app from GE makes these graet

I like the CSYNC app (Android, I have not tried Apple version). It works well, so far. It can group so that a light with two of these bulbs can work together. Brightness range is good. It can be set as dim as a candle. These have color adjustment from dull orange to blue-white, (color temperature, NOT full RGB range). After these light bulbs were setup and working with CSYNC app, i tried to connect Alexa. This did not go smoothly. I needed to do factory reset on the lights and re-do the setup with Alexa. I expected the CSYNC skill in Alexa to work like the CSYNC app, but groups are different, light controls are different. Alexa allows five color temperature settings instead of the 0-100 slider in the CSYNC app. After these light bulbs were setup and working with Alexa, I tried to go back in with the CSYNC app to fine-tune the color. The CSYNC app did not connect. Add device in CSYNC fails. it looks like Alexa setup locks out the CSYNC app. Can't have both. I will leave Alexa in control.

At first I thought they were defective

The boxes I ordered had been repacked at the warehouse so I assume that means they were returns. I could not figure out how to get them to connect to Wi-Fi. Im thinking the range was the reason. I switched the bulbs to a Wi-Fi network with a different ranged and they worked.

Newer smart bulb technology

This bulb will be added to my units over time. I was testing with first purchase. It does offer control and options that old hue lights did not have- especially control of when on without a separate smart plug. The GE Cync app used on IOS device was a little bit frustrating, but support service did a good job of leading me through the issues. Overall , a good addition and replacement for older hue build and smart plug technology.

Easy setup

Easy setup integrated with GoogleHome. I now have 4 lights I can control with my IPhone or by voice control. Good buy, and am going to convert additional lights in my home. Especially like bedroom controls for on/off, but especially for control of brightness.

Works but not with Alexa

If you plan on using these only from your phone they are great! But at that point, just get the cheaper ones with the remote. They will not connect with Alexa. Called support as well.

Great for apartments

I get migraines easily from bright lights. This bulb helps me control her environment to make my environment as comfortable as possible. The Cync app is awful though. Forgets settings and is slow to respond. I couldn’t figure out how to get it to work with the apple home app.

Value is there, some trouble with set-up

The bulb works well since I have gotten through the initial setup. The app isn't completely intuitive and was buggy. I had to factory reset both bulbs that I purchased in order for my phone to find them and it was a little difficult to find how to do so on the troubleshooting page. I wish they were a little bit brighter. However they work exactly at I needed now - using the battery power switches to place a light switch in rooms that don't have one I my rental house.

Funcionan cuando quieren, siempre aparece el mensaje de error en la aplicación y algunas veces no se conecta correctamente con Google Home. Fuera de eso es fácil de manejar los tonos de iluminación y son buenos
