Fixed the issue

When my son called and said his washer was broke, we did some troubleshooting which led me to this part. It came neatly packaged with step by step pictures and directions. Unfortunately, the photos supplied were not of the model we were repairing, but we found a video online and utilized them both to get the job done. Once we removed the old part, this was pretty much a plug and play. Put the top back together and the LID alert was gone and the washer filled and works as before. I gave this unit 1 star for the lock feature as it appears this part removes the locking mechanism completely, which was fine in my son's case, and actually preferred!

Complicated Replacement Part

The media could not be loaded. I bought this part to fix the lock mechanism on my GE GTW460ASJ6WW. GE no longer made the part that I needed and said that this was compatible. It wasn’t very compatible. The piece I removed from my washer was a little box 3x2 inches. To install this replacement lid lock would take a lot more skill/time then I wanted. I would have to re-wire the electronic components and install some hardware to hold the larger locking mechanism. It seemed like it was more expensive and had the chance of ruining the whole electrical component I ended up using a cheap replacement part from china and it has worked fine.

Easy to fix broken lids

Our kitten got locked in our smart washer, my son panicked and ripped the lid open. After several purchases on the actual GE website that were unsuccessful in repairing it, this product did the trick ????

Worked great!

Worked great, I can use my washer again! It took a little bit of time and a YouTube video to install it, but still way cheaper than a repairman would have cost. I would recommend trying this.
