Teatree version helped with hair loss for a little bit

I don’t know what it is about Giovanni’s Teatree formula, but it reduces my hair loss every time I wash with this shampoo. It’s most effective if I wash every day. I’ve looked at the key ingredients and tried to buy hair loss shampoo with those ingredients that specifically targets anti-hair loss anti-thinning treatments, but none of it has worked so far. So I don’t know WHY this Teatree formula would work for my hair loss. I don’t know if it grows any hair at all, but when I use this every day, I go from losing 50 strands of hair in the shower to 10-20. However, it makes my scalp itchy when I use it continuously 4 or 5 times a week, so I use it maybe 2 times a week… also so that I can work some biotin shampoo into my washes (since I only wash my hair every 2 or 3 days). Then I realized I could combine the Giovanni Tea tree shampoo with my biotin shampoo in my palms and wash that way. But like I said, the tea tree makes my head itch a bit, so I can’t leave it on for too long. I feel like it’s really strong because the longer I leave it on, the tingly becomes too intense for me. I’m still trying to find a formula that works for anti-hair loss that has Giovanni’s Tea tree ingredients. For some background: I am female, 37, curly hair, have hypertension, previously took olmesartan but now changed to lisinopril and oral 2.5mg minoxidil. Giovanni Tea Tree shampoo has helped during all of these medications, but didn’t completely stop all hair loss.

Gets product out but doesn't strip hair

We received a travel size of this shampoo when my daughter had an updo with a significant amount of hairspray and glitter. It worked so well at getting that out AND leaving her hair soft and shiny that we ordered a full size bottle. It seems to be gentle enough for regular use - not drying at all - yet it gets hair really clean, especially when you've used a lot of product on it. We are both kind of sensitive/picky about smell and although I can't say it smells especially great, it's good enough that neither of us object to it. We've used lots of brands (some much more expensive) and this one is among our favorites.

Favorite shampoo

I love this shampoo!! It has a sweet and tropical scent and lathers really well. It’s hard to find a shampoo that leaves your scalp feeling clean and does not leave behind a residue. I found that this shampoo is adorable and works really well for me and I’ve been using it for years

It's good

I have fine, only hair, and sadly, I'm losing it as I age. I got this to have something that would do a deep clean on my hair and help with volume. It does that. After the first wash, I could feel (hear?) the squeak in my hair as I was rinsing. My scalp felt very clean and not dried out. A little goes a long way, too. The scent is pretty mild. Am I seeing life altering volume? No. But I AM seeing more volume and my hair absolutely stays cleaner longer. If I use some volumizing product and blow dry my hair, I can go into a second day w/o the need to wash my hair and I usually have to wash it daily. Not a case of "oh, I don't feel good if I don't wash my hair", it's a case of my hair is so fine and has so much oil, it looks like it's greasy/wet the following morning if I DON"T wash my hair daily under normal circumstances.

So far I’m very pleased!

I got this along with the smooth as silk condition and tried them both today. Very happy with both. This shampoo is tingly on my head - which is exactly what I wanted. I dont wash my hair too often, so when I do I want my scalp to feel super clean. Definitely does that without feeling like I’m stripping my hair! The smooth as silk conditioner also works really well with it for my dry thick hair - moisturizes well but doesn’t weigh my curls down. So far, very pleased!

Great Shampoo

My hair felt very clean after using this product. I expected my hair to feel dry and brittle as clarifying shampoos typically do so however this was not the case. Would def rebuy and try other products from this brand.

My hair loves this!!

I had a itchy scalp and sometimes I would have small bumps on my scalp. My hair was getting thin. I researched shampoos and found this one. All natural and no yucky products. This shampoo has been a game changer for me. I love it!

Clarify that hair!

I have coarse, curly hair (3B) and use this to clarify my hair when it's feeling a bit gunky. The smell is absolutely lovely, and the product really makes my hair feel clean after it has been used. I find my products work much better after I've used this shampoo. I use this every 2-3 weeks, as if I used it more it would probably leave my hair a bit dry. A real great positive about this is that it's organic as well as BUAV approved, which means that neither the final product or any or the ingredients used in it are animal tested. A true testament that you can have good hair and a good conscience. ; )

WOW!!! How clean is my hair?!!!

This is my first time using a clarifying shampoo and i am glad i chose Giovanni. My hair had build up through co-washing and hair products plus swimming and felt glammy!! I used it on my natural afro hair and i didn't need a lot either. It left my hair feeling immaculately clean and cleansed not what, i personally would called stripped as my hair didn't feel as if it had been deprived. My hair felt lighter and i could see more definition in my curl pattern. I really liked this shampoo and will definitely be using it again. I tend to co-wash my hair and only shampoo my hair every 6 weeks and this shampoo has earned its way to my hair ritual :-)

Effective scalp cleanser

Aside from the fact that it could be a little more softening, I appreciate how well this works as a clarifying shampoo. It keeps my hair colour very vibrant and my fine hair feels lightweight whilst stripping out excess oils and dirt. The scent and lather were ideal - refreshing and the right kind of foam for a cleansing shampoo. The bottle looks very snazzy in my bathroom for visitors... Which is kind of a plus.

Love Love love this clarifying shampoo

I have 4a low porosity medium thickness hair. I am currently transitioning to natural and my previous clarifying shampoo was striping my hair and causing serious dryness and tangling. This clarifies my hair without striping it. It is seriously hydrating. Would definitely recommend.

Amazing product coming from someone who has tried them all and is usually disappointed, this one does it all lathers like a normal shampoo, rinses out quickly and does not leave hair tangled... great!
