Works ok

I decided to purchase a nicer razor to see who it works instead of my normal cheap disposable razor. It seems to work fine. I have noticed if I tap the razor to loosen the hair and the top comes off. I wish it would be more secure on the handle. Otherwise it is working fine so far. It appears to be working longer than the disposable ones were.

Best razors ever!!!

These are the best razors I have ever used. I like using men’s razors because they tend to give a closer shave, these are hands down the best hybrid between a men’s/women’s razor. They give a smooth shave and the blades last a lot longer than most blades I’ve tried.

I prefer this razor and its replacement heads.

As the title says, I prefer this over any of other women's razor I've used in the past. Do the heads get gunky after a use? Yes, but we're supposed to clean them. My dad gave me an idea with using a manual toothbrush to clean the blades and the white part that seems to collect little hairs. I found that works wonders in the shower and pairing it with a small squirt of shampoo onto the blades to catch any stragglers and excess gunk. I also don't use shave cream, haven't for years, I use my body wash, which to me, has made more sense than buying another can of "goo" to lather up with just to shave my underarms and legs. Anyway, this razor is well worth money and I have to not purchase the Nickel handle because it's risky for a young woman who has nickel metal allergy. More common now than when I first found out in early 2000s in middle school. So, if you yourself have Nickel metal allergy, stay away from the Nickel handle. I haven't bought it, but I'm advising others who have the same allergy to not buy it as well. BIC, if you'd like to be hypoallergenic, take the Nickel handle off market and replace it with something else. Just a thought. All in all perfect razor

Nice Packaging, but no, this one isn't made for "me."

Previous Review: Likes: the distinct "made for you" cardboard package with razor and two refills inside. Product: the razor has a good feel, and I use it to trim excessive body hair. It's much better than using an unused face razor product. As far as what the product can do for me, it's good, but not the best. Dislikes: the distinct "made for you" cardboard package with razor and two refills inside. I think one pays for the package, and not for the razor or the two (2!) refills! With simpler packaging, and less-expensive gimmicks, or none at all, I'm guessing the price might go down, or we might be offered more refills. Buying more refills is also too costly. Once I finish with the two razor refills, that's it for me. This really isn't a "made for you" product that I value. ------------------------------------------------ Since I wrote the review above, I actually relented, and bought a pack of five refills. Quite expensive, compared to the three-blade razors and replacement blades I have used. But I found that I like the "snap fit" holding mechanism that BIC uses for this five-blade extravagance. As I reported earlier, the closeness of the shave is good, but not great, but it's really the only shaver on the market that cleans me of body hair, and other shaving needs not on my face, without scraping the skin, or allowing a hair to remain! So I'll continue to use this shaver, until a better and less expensive one comes along. I'm raising the overall rank to "four stars," for the snap fit--a lot easier to recognize and use, over the complicated and baffling razors that are competing for facial hair removal.

5-Star Razor...1-Star Packaging

I am a woman, and this is a great razor with replaceable heads. I actually lost my original after owning it for several years, and wanted another one. It's metal with a swiveling, pivoting head that makes following your body's curves easy and natural. It will last a long time. Just don't lose it! :-) So though I highly recommend the product...please, PLEASE Bic improve (as in reduce) your packaging. This is a tiny little item, and the packaging it comes in is HUGE, copious and elaborate. It's literally the packaging of a thin, long, hardcover book. It's ridiculous. It's sleek and stylish, yes. But it's wasteful. Bic, please, if you haven't already, please survey your audience and ask them if they prefer less more minimalistic, less wasteful packaging. I love this razor, and I know I would prefer that. Other than that, no complaints!

Bad packaging state and product looks like Used ????

I was going to give it a try to be practical on my shaving spend time but definitely this show me that disposable cartridges is not the option, at least with BIC. The package box at the beginning looked fine, when opened, the green handle and one of the cartridges was out of place. Definitely not as through the transportation movement because looks like it was by human manipulation. Then checked the handles and both see like they were used before... Don't know if just return it because definitely the product doesn't inspire trust.

Looking for replacement blade if a great bic product n was told these were same. Nowhere near it

I asked for a blafe to fit another bic product that i couldn't find blades for. I was told these were the same. They fit alright but dont shave anywhere near the calibre of the bic brand i purchased initially n was asking about. Why does bic make razors and then its impossible to find the same blades that came with it?????

Worst 5-blade cartridge I've ever used

Loved the price of this set, and the fact that it came with two handles was perfect for setting up a travel kit. I won't be using this set at home or on the road. I hardly ever write bad reviews, but wanted to give prospective buyers a heads up that these cartridges are murdering my face--getting snagged on whiskers and cutting skin. I've used a lot of cartridges over the years, both expensive and cheap. These have done more damage than all the bad ones combined. I have a somewhat tough beard, so your mileage may vary. For me, this set is unusable.

Very good shave

I bought this set because they’re currently the best priced razors on Amazon.ca. The two handles is useful so that I won’t be stuck if one breaks. I’ve used other 5 blade razors from Gillette, Dorco and Amazon’s Solimo brand, but these blades gave me the closest shave by far.
