Lightweight, easy to use, decent amount of power

While the performance of this blower, in terms of wind speed and volume, is not nearly as good as my 80v Greenworks blower, it does a fine job at clearing leaves. The lower speed/volume is more than offset by the lower weight -- this is a breeze to use (no pun intended) for long stretches compared with the 80v blower. This is my go-to for clearing leaves off of hard surfaces, and for clearing leaves off of mulched planting beds since it is far less likely to move the mulch than my 80v. Once all the leaves are out of the planting beds and off the patio & driveway, I use the 80v blower to move the piles to the curb. This 40v one could also do that, but the 80v is better suited to moving large piles quickly. It uses the same 40v Greenworks as all the other tools in the 40v collection. I find it works fine (in terms of usable run time) with the 2.5Ah battery, but larger capacity 40v ones can also be used. The controls are simple, and I like that it uses a dial rather than a trigger. For me, it makes it easier to use with my arthritis. Not the most powerful one out there, but it holds its own while keeping the weight and arm/hand fatigue to a minimum. Five stars.

Great for driveways and porches

This is a great little blower for the money. I only use it to blow off the driveway, sidewalk, and back porch after I mow and trim. I transfer the battery from the weed-eater after I get done and there is always enough life on the one remaining light to complete the blower needs.

I didn't think such a light weight product would hold so much power but it does Only negative is the heavy rechargeable battery but I'm loving all the cleaning I'm able to do without cords Highly recommend just beware the battery so pretty heavy

I am a huge fan of Greenworks! Started with their mowers. Now I have many 20 amp products both the 20 amp and 40 amp mowers. I keep most products out in the elements without issue.

Works great! Although not as powerful as my corded tools, it works good.

I decided this year I would purchase cordless yard tools. Tired of dragging electric cords where ever I go. It’s not as powerful as my (250mph) cord tools of the same type, so that was a let down. But I find myself using it more because I don’t have to unpack and stow away power cables after every use.

works for what I need

I took my time reviewing others reviews to decide which one to buy (this review is for the 150mph with no battery included). There is the more powerful one with the option for suction and the lower level one with just 110mph. After using a few times I believe those who rated it lower than what I did just bought the wrong version and thus, not the adequate on for their needs. My thought process was to find which one I could use better, more efficiently. I have a wired electrical one that has plenty of power and is also reversible. I was tired of putting all the long 100ft power cord to blow the clippings and other dirt from my driveway every time I mowed the grass. After all in season I do it every week! On the suction side I only use it in the fall. That said, I even considered the one with 185mph but it seems many did not think it was powerful enough for the job while it had plenty of power for blowing (some complained wet leaves were still hard to blow even with that one). So, since I am going to use a light blower way more than any other function I eliminated that one. The 110mph was easier to eliminate since it seems to struggle even with light tasks. which brings me to this review. The pros: Very light. w/o the battery it is a feather. Incredible how light they can make to electric motors these days Because of the above I can move it around and keep it low to the ground (so it does not raise dust/dirt up) and pointed correctly Since I have not gone through fall with it I cant tell you all about leaves but the normal (quantity) leaves dropped in this weather were blown easily but, I expect it not to be able to work well against piles of wet leaves The battery seems to be good for the needs of the blower. I used the one that was in the mower and not totally depleted yet. It worked in max power for 10 minutes... The not so good: I wished they produced the high powered one just as a blower for a lower price. The selector has power levels from 1 through 6. The lower ones have no use. Even if you buy that one you will need a 4.0Ah battery while this one works fine with a 2.5Ah All in all I think I am happy with it. The power is not great so dropped a star from it but it does what I expected it to do and for the price I paid it is a great tool. By the way, I already had three batteries (2 came with the mower and one with the string trimmer) so, it made this tool quite cheap to add...

Not very powerful

Tried blowing leaves. Unit is not very powerful. The leaves were wet. Will try again when leaves dry out to find out if there is any improvement. Not impressed with performance the claim of 150MPH is exaggerated. I would not purchase this blower again...

Check the 40v battery you have is correct

You would think that when you own a Green Works 40v lawn mower and string trimmer that this would be the same (NOT). This is as bad as apple changing the charge cords, they do not make it clear on the description that you must have a specific kind of 40v battery. The only good thing I can say is it took 3 days from ordering to arrive 10 out of 10 for that. Hopefully I can return it and purchase the correct one.

Really disappointed.

The battery is very difficult to find and very expensive. I have 2 other Greenworks tools with 40 V batteries, but they do not fit. Really disappointed.

Plenty of power and super light!!

Excellent unit! Plenty of power and supper light. For those that didn't read the battery compatibility, please do and you won't be dissapointed.
