Read this: this is probably not what you were expecting

The seller's photo of this product does almost nothing to tell the buyer what they are getting. Which is why I waited over 6 months to decide if a tiny clothes hook was worth paying so much when I could get something like it for a fraction of the price at the discount store. I finally ended up buying it and it is NOT what I expected. What I received was crafted with surprising quality and attention to detail. Far superior to anything I expected. The device itself is much heavier than it looks in the photo (and smaller too). It is packed with several mounting screws and even a tool to install it and wall anchors. I'll be honest; the instruction manual that came with it is more complete than what came with either a new TV or a new digital camera I just bought. I expected the thing to have a short screw attached to the back to screw into a wall and as such not able to hold much weight at all. That is not at all how this is designed. The peg itself is a beautifully milled hunk of metal with a brass (!!) nut set into the back. Using the included tool you remove the nut and attach IT to the wall or other surface. You can use the included wood screw, the included wallboard anchors or your own Molly anchors or even concrete screws. After you screw the nut to the wall you screw the peg to it. Depending on how you choose to mount the retaining nut you can end up with a hook strong enough to hold a baby elephant. I'm not saying the seller is misrepresenting, I am saying that they are UNDERESTIMATING what a high quality product this is. Ordinarily I can't see giving any utilitarian clothes hook more than an average rating but this one earns much more respect. This is something you will proudly install to complement the finest décor. I recommend it.

Awessome

After living in Europe for five years we got used to pocket wash cloths and being able to hang then on little hooks. When we moved back to the US and bought a new house, we knew we had to have the bathrooms updated from their 1980s style. I bight these or by the sink and in the shower because they match our Hans Grohe fixtures. They are functional and well built. They also look great. I am very happy with these and the best thing is that they were available and not a special order item as they are on other sites! Thanks Amazon.

Good low profile towel hook

Not really 1-inch

So first of all, this towel hook is not 1 inch in diameter as one might assume. Yes, there is a drawing with dimensions but the dimensions are in metric so you would have to convert to inches to figure this out. Diameter is around 11/16 inch which is not very wide. Because of the narrow diameter, the hook is a little wobbly when installed. Not a lot but I am expecting it to get worse over time. Will do for now but I am looking for a replacement.

Yeah, it's a hook

This is more stylish than functional. Since I 'kitted out' the bathroom with Hansgrohe fixtures it just made sense to keep going. The hooks were easy to install, especially since I had a solid core door. I did have an extra piece leftover which I had no idea what is was for and the installation instructions I guess are for professional contractors so I have no clue what it was for.

nice quality, 2 drawbacks.

Very heavy solid construction and finish. Note two things: 1-this mounts with one screw, unlike many other hooks that mount with two, so you better have this mounted directly into wood(stud or secure trim) or else it'll probably pull out of the wall sooner or later. 2-It only has a slight indent for the towel/robe to hook onto, so it better have a loop to loop over this, simple laying the edge of the towel over, it will slip off. We opted not to use this because of this.

nice hansgrohe hooks

I'll admit, when i ordered 4 of these, i was unsure how these 2" perpendicular pegs would hold a towel. I hang my towel by the edge, not the lable or tag or anything. But my towel has not fallen one time in using these hooks 3 months. if you can, plan on mounting the peg to a stud behind the wall for a much firmer and tight fit. i have 2 mounted to drywall with anchors and two mounted into studs. To get them really tight to the wall surface, you compress the drywall a bit. in a stud, these are extremely rigid for towels or even a heavy bathrobe.

I installed four of these in my newly remodeled shower stall. I am using them to hang my shower items like the squeegee, loafa, foot brush, etc. The robe hooks are small and inconspicuous. They work perfect for what I needed and look nice due to the chrome shine. They are made of brass and sturdy.

Over Priced, But They Work Great?

They match the rest of the bathroom fixtures. Can't believe how much they cost, but they are solid copper, and they mount easily and are rock solid? Would be better if they were less expensive...

Sehr schön und Tipp zur Montage

Die Montage war einfach (auch wenn Dübel und Schraube mE ein wenig überdimensioniert sind, was schlussendlich aber egal ist. Lieber zu fest als zu wackelig montiert). Macht sich optisch sehr schön im Gäste-WC und erfüllt seinen Zweck sehr gut. Einziger Wermutstropfen ist der Preis für ein solch doch einfaches Teil. Tipp bei der Montage: Darauf achten, dass das Bohrloch exakt gerade in die Wand verläuft. Ansonsten steht der Halter leicht in eine Richtung. Dieser Effekt wird durch die sehr lange Schraube ev gehebelt.

Grohe war immer schon gut !

Kleiner aber sehr feiner Gästehandtuchhaken ! Trotz der kleinen Größe fällt es ins Auge des Betrachters.+ Besonders für sehr kleine Badezimmer geeignet .
